This is a really unique experience and way to experience the big island. Know that Pahoa is not like Hilo or Kailua-Kona, it's in the rainforest in an area I'd almost consider rural (but still populated with a lot of people), so you'll enjoy the silence if you've been in touristy areas. There's great places to eat and you're very close to explore Volcano National Park. Delia is sweet and adorable and you can tell she really loves her lifestyle and takes pride in the site.
My stay with Delia was incredible! Her space is so beautiful and tranquil. The bus itself was comfortable and had all of the necessary amenities. Delia herself was super helpful and kind. She gave me all the info about surrounding areas I needed and helped me get settled with groceries. Pahoa and Nanawale are both wonderful places to visit with nice people and beautiful rainforest! I highly recommend!
I stayed the bus with my family. My 4 year-old son was very pleased with my stay at the bus.
It was a very unique experience and a beautiful garden like a botanical garden so healed me very much.
Dalia was very kind and thanked very much during our stay.
