Awalau Farm is a 30 acre sustainable community located in upcountry Haiku on the Hawaiian island of Maui. We are nestled up next to the 62,000 acre state eucalyptus reserve (excellent for hikes) and our backyard has an ocean view, bamboo forest, and multiple waterfalls and pools. We have horses, goats, an alpaca and cats and dogs that roam around. You can camp here for a nightly fee or there is the option to do work trade on the farm - 12 hours a week on Tuesdays and Wednesday in exchange for staying here. Minimum stay for work trade is 2 weeks.
We have basic rustic cabins built onsite or you can pitch a tent. There is a communal kitchen, outdoor shower, and porta-potty available for people who come and stay. We require anyone who stays onsite to observe a vegetarian diet.
