We loved our experience at Zen on the Lake! Waking up early is worth it to spend some quiet time on the dock, letting the fog burn off the lake in early morning light. We also enjoyed a nice fire through sunset and a peaceful night near the lake. The proximity to Atlanta is fantastic which makes it a great (and cost effective) alternative to staying in the city. Georgia was a very accommodating host, happy to give you as much privacy as you like or equally happy to share her knowledge of the native species she grows on her land. She's also responsive to suggestions and eager to improve your experience. I would absolutely recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about this place and it's host. Georgia and her property were everything we need to have a wonderful time. The lake was perfect for swimming and floating the day away. The property is beautifully maintained, to I'm courage wildlife. The area was well shaded and stayed cool. This location included acess to a small semi private sanded beach only a short distance by swim or drive. The only thing that could have made our stay better was a more convenient bathroom. All said and done we will be returning.
