A breathtaking view of the distant mountains greets you as you come on to the property as well as the majestic Villa del Sole, a Tuscan style villa on top of the hill. The land drops away into rolling pastures dotted with ancient trees, some 150+!. The woodlands are filled with wildlife that surround the property. There are two creeks that border each side of the property and join together and flow into Lake Habersham then into the Soque, the top trophy trout stream in the southeast,. The streams continue a short distance and joins the Chattahoochee. Behind the property is 110 acs of woodlands and fields down to Lake Habersham. These two streams are spring fed and have been tested almost pure. Depending on where you want to camp there are several possible camp sites from the hill top to the glade but I recommend along the right hand stream in the bottoms. It's possible to dip in the creek in areas during hot weather. You are not completely disconnected from the world here but far enough away to feel isolated and private. In the bottoms, you are nestled in the woods and can see nothing around you but forest, not even the Villa. You see no neighbors, houses, lights, etc. Star gazing from on top of the hill is not to be missed Clarkesville is close by if you have a hankering for a good burger or chill in the local coffee house. Ingles is close by for supplies and a Starbucks fix. Night life is limited unless you travel to Helen, 25 mins away. This is a small town, rural area, quiet and slow. There is plenty more to do if you just want Sole Farm camp as a base. Habersham County does not have liquor except by the drink in a restaurant. The closest Spirits store is in Mount Airy 25 mins away. Many good hiking ops close by, waterfalls, thrifting and a killer good farm to table restaurant in Clayton and one in Clarkesville, Harvest Habersham. (Fortify-reservations required) The Chattahoochee is good for canoeing, kayaking and swimming. There are several stables that offer trail rides close by.

Sole Farm was a beautiful site to roam and camp for the night. I was greeted at the Entrance by Brooks (the owner) and was given a tour of his property. It was an educational experience that took us all the way from his greenhouse to the natural springs on the edge of his land. There were multiple areas to pitch a tent and have a great time, and an official site was laying at the base of the creek, accompanied by log benches and a fire pit. Would definitely recommend this spot and would stay here again!

A vast amount of greenery and trees are spread across the hills on this property. A vast amount of greenery and trees are spread across the hills on this property. A great spot to set up camp is near the top of the main hill. This area has the best view of the property. The owner's house at the entrance of the property. Cannot be seen from the main campsite by the creek.

Had the most wonderful time staying at The Woods at Sole Farm! The location was amazing and easy to get to and Brooks was great to deal with. I stayed here during the eclipse weekend and while there were others on the property, I was never bothered. This was my first time camping, so I was very nervous about animals, but only saw a very cool owl. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at Sole Farm during the solar eclipse (so in the heat of August). The owner, Brooks, is very responsive and hospitable. The Woods at Sole Farm are very green and lush. I stayed on site 8, which had a small stream running through that was quite tranquil with little salamander friends. The canopy protected my group from the beating sun. At night there was a symphony of insects and miscellaneous critters. We did ensure the food was locked up in the car, but we did hear some critters scurrying through our site. The site is also far from the other camp sites so there isn't much issues with noise. Our site also had a fire pit, benches, a prep table, and small path was made to lead to a secluded bathroom spot.

One point of clarification is that the sites require a small hike. Brooks said a quarter of a mile, but I'd say it was closer to half a mile. There was a great hill that Brooks designated as the eclipse watch site. Further more the way the farm and land looked like in the early morning light was breathtaking. It felt so calm and secluded.

Overall I had a wonderful experience. I recommend NOT going during the summer because of the Georgia heat, but I imagine the Spring and Fall would be perfect.
