Our Story Oregonian Greg Spencer initially discovered the Blue Ridge area on a backpacking trip to the Cohutta Wilderness in the 1980’s. A short time later, enamored of the area, Greg embarked on a land purchasing mission that led him to 17 acres of undeveloped acreage. Amazed by the beauty of the Toccoa River and the inspiring views of the surrounding mountains, Greg wasted no time in securing what is now known as the Toccoa House Properties. During the 1990’s we built a small cabin, The Love Shack on the River, on the Toccoa River, and envisioned a larger house that we later built on the ridge above, The Toccoa House, completed in 2000. Next came The Carriage House in 2002, and the in-ground, seasonally heated swimming pool in 2007. The Grey Heron House was completed in 2008. and The Townhouses (four furnished apartments in downtown Blue Ridge) also in 2008. After taking a break for a few years we built The Toccoa Riverfront in 2015, and developed The Toccoa Overlook Camp in 2016. We ventured out of the state in 2015 where we purchased and renovated property on The Withlacoochee River in Hernando, FL (The Fish Camp). We also are regularly adding improvements and upgrades to the cabins and property. After splitting time between Blue Ridge and Atlanta for the past 25 years, we recently moved full time to our new house near Lake Blue Ridge. We also spend time at the property in Florida, especially in the colder months. Our Mission As a family owned and operated business, we at Toccoa House Properties take pride in offering some of the best vacation rentals in Blue Ridge, Georgia. We own the land, designed and built each of the cabins, and personally manage the day-to-day operations. Because of our hands-on involvement, we believe we offer a professional and friendly rental service far better than that of the typical rental management agency. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of each and every guest. Thank You So Much For Visiting! ~gs Learn more about this land: The large level site takes advantage of phenomenal views of the Toccoa River along with views of the Cohutta Mountains (largest Wilderness east of the Mississippi). The site also takes advantage of direct access to the beautiful Toccoa. Additional amenities include walking trails, shared pool and hot tub (in season), with easy access and parking. During winter, the outdoor sink is turned off to prevent freezing, but there is a year round spigot available. The bathroom shower, sink and commode operate year round. This site lies near the owner's personal residence, and shares certain amenities, such as the firepit.

Amazing little cabin

What a wonderful little camping cabin. A little bit of camping and a touch of glamping. The location couldn’t have been better and the views were amazing. We loved it so much we are looking to book again soon!

This was a fantastic weekend getaway. The place and the property were better than we expected. The views are stunning, and we loved being able to cook outside while protected from the rain. The pool and jacuzzi were private and clean, and the river was beautiful. Thank you, Greg!

Great spot overlooking the river!

We had a great time and will definitely come back! This is a glamping spot to remember. Only regret is not tubing/swimming the river. It was a short and very fun hike to the river, pool, hot tub and play area. Very inclusive and friendly.

Overlook Camp

The cabin and location was just what we expected at the time of booking, with one plus. We was not aware that the cabin had AC, so that was a nice surprise! We had a great 3 night stay on this property, it had everything we could need, clean and the view was great. The community pool and hot tub was also nice to have access too. Thanks for the great experience!

Unplugged and connected

It surpassed all our expectations, such a beautiful property. We did have surprise guests from the other property who wanted to share our view, which we didn't mind. Just a little awkward. Otherwise, we look forward to returning to check out all the cabins in the coming years.
