The vibe at The Farm at Wilkerson Mill Camp
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
The Farm at Wilkerson Mill is peaceful, made so by it's owner and caretaker, Reggie. As you arrive you can envision the environment he is creating - a place for friends to meet and get away from the hustle of the city. Whether you are in the Atlanta area or making it your destination, The Farm is a great launching place. Imagine the wide open green space wreathed in towering hardwoods. Perfect for fires and games of ultimate frisbee or spikeball. Reggie is in process of growing a sustainable garden, plays host to four legged donkeys and sheep, and encourages family activities. He's installed running water and a well to the property and quite literally the nicest camp bathroom I've ever used. My night was quiet. I rested well and got up for a quick drive into Atlanta to meet friends for a day of exploring. Whether you are a big group or an individual, I recommend The Farm at Wilkerson Mill.
Reggie and his wife were excellent hosts. They have a great property that also doubles as an event space with picnic tables and a covered pavilion. We had a great time camping at The Farm.
The campsite is well maintained, beautiful, and spacious. The bathrooms are the best I've ever seen in a formal campground, the owner's outdid themselves here. Reggie, our main contact, was courteous, kind, and very helpful.
We don't camp outside of Atlanta often, but if we do again, we will do it at Wilkerson Mill!
