Spotted Fawn Farm is a 60 acre animal rehab farm on beautiful Lake Hartwell. We have two vacation rentals, a three bedroom cottage and a tiny house cabin. Our guests have mentioned that we have the perfect place for campers so we are opening our woods to give it a try. Our farm specializes in orphaned and injured whitetail deer and we release here as well, so our woods are teeming with gorgeous deer. We also have tons of other animals from horses to giant tortoises, pigs and chickens to emu. We welcome guests with horses, although there is an extra fee for pasture or stall boarding, and boats are welcome as well if there is dock space available. This campsite is located deep in the woods and only accessible by foot or ATV. We are happy to help transport your equipment in for you. We offer a super cool hot shower in the barn, and there is a bathroom, kitchen and washer/dryer in there as well. Follow us on FB to see what's happening on the farm this week.

How do you review a place that gives you peace of mind? Beautiful, calming, serene, tranquil are all words that come to mind and yet they barely come close to defining the peaceful feeling that I had while at Spotted Fawn Farm. I was in serious need to recharge and decided a week of road tripping and camping would be perfect. Finding Spotted Fawn Farm was pure Synchronicity and after pitching my tent and exploring the grounds I felt the tension leaving my body and mind. It rained while I was there, but the camp area I was in had trees that provided shelter and the sound of the rain on my tent was soothing. I slept better than I had in months. I am a solo female traveler and it's important to trust my instincts when choosing a place to camp - I never once had any second thoughts about camping at Spotted Fawn Farm and once I met the owners I knew it was the right place for me to be. I felt safe and protected the entire time. The campsite was just about as perfect as it gets - a creek that runs close by, trees for shelter and a beautiful large fire pit. Hiking trails that seem to be meant for whoever is in that campsite were waiting to be explored. A few of the trees had gorgeous lights entwined on them that lit up as the sun went down, providing just the right amount of light to make your way around the site. Walking sticks were leaning against a tree for those beautiful hikes, which was just as cool as the lights that dimmed on their own as the night progressed. The entire campsite looked beautifully artistic and still had an element of wild that would normally be impossible to balance, yet Spotted Fawn Farm pulls this off flawlessly. The camping was perfect and I haven't even begun to talk about the rest of the farm! Emus, Goats, Horses, Chickens that followed me around the farm, a Quail that looked like it was into some mischief, a donkey that wanted to say hello (or maybe a mule - I live semi-close to Columbia, TN I should know the difference!).

The bottom line is that I would recommend this place dozens, hundred and thousands of times over - it's paradise. If I hadn't fallen in love with the owners, and this beautiful place - I'd probably not even review this special place for the simple reason that I'd love to keep it my secret! I'm guessing that staying the evening here during a meteor shower would be majestic as there is no light pollution, which would make it perfect. The Spotted Fawn Farm looks like a photo shoot from Town and Country - to try and describe everything fun and fantastic about this place would impossible. Just know that if you're looking for a place to re-charge that is safe, comfortable and has owners/hosts looking out for everything you could possibly think of - then Spotted Fawn Farm is the place to be. I've pitched my tent as a solo female traveler from Tennessee to California, from Tennessee to Maine and many places in between - returning to Spotted Fawn Farm is at the top of my list. There aren't enough good things for me to say about this hidden paradise

Tent is pitched at the Spotted Fawn Farm and I'm ready for the peaceful relaxation that this place offers! This chicken escorted me around while I explored Spotted Fawn Farm - we became good friends! Spotted Fawn Farm campsite - a creek, hiking trails, fire pit and chairs are waiting for campers to enjoy the night!Tent is pitched and I'm ready for a peaceful night at Spotted Fawn Farm - a great place to recharge!

Our stay was an absolutely fantastic tent camping experience with our two kids, ages 8 and 3. Our site was perfectly secluded with close access to a clean bathroom, a refreshing barn shower, a small stream and short hike to Lake Hartwell. Both Elexis and her husband Buddy were extremely helpful, inviting and informative! They have some of the most beautiful farm property I've ever been to and their passion for caring for animals is very apparent by the pristine property and happy, healthy animals. Elenore the pig is pretty much the cutest thing you'll ever see! We went to see the eclipse at totality and were lucky enough to stubble across this gem! Not only was the eclipse a once in a lifetime experience, but we were also luck enough to find a new regular camp spot. Although we didn't stay in the cabin we did get to peak in before the renters got there and it was beautiful, clean and well air conditioned! Whether you prefer cabin camping or tent camping you will not be disappointed!! Thank you so much for having us and we can't wait to come back!

My dad, my son and I had a great time staying at the campsite. The owners of the property are very hospitable, nice and go out of their way for the guests. There is a cool little creek next to the campsite, very private. When we went there were no mosquitos, that was awesome in it's self.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Spotted Fawn Farm! My boyfriend and I camped at one of their sites with our dog and it was awesome. The property is beautiful, the owners are so friendly, and it's very safe and peaceful. I highly recommend this campsite. Thanks again for having us!

We recommend cheerfully The Spotted Fawn Farm campsite. Elexis greeted us as we arrived at the main gate and we were surrounded by their fawns, hens, dogs and other farm animals. Elexis drove us down to the campsite which is very nicely located next to a little river inside their forest. The campsite has a fire ring, chairs and small tables, which makes it so convenient for us. There are three campsites in total along the same river but they are far enough to give privacy to each campsite. The farm has a lake access, the lake looks very big, not sure how far it goes ! we brought our stand paddleboard and enjoyed paddling on the lake. As a note, the lake can get very busy in the afternoon with other motorized boats. We stayed one night and did not use the shower, the shower fits beautifully in the middle of their beautiful barn. We used their toilet and barn bathroom, that was perfect for us. We enjoyed a lot our stay and will definitely stay there again ! Thank you Elexis for making this campsite available.

This place was so terrific!
From the hosts that are beyond gracious, to the beautiful scenery, to the farm filled with so many animals to see, my son (11 years old) and I had a blast!
We stayed in a camp site down in the woods, and had so much room to explore.
If we needed to come up to the farm, it was just a short walk to the nice hot shower or to check out the farm.
Also, when we first arrived, it was great that we had a small table, adirondack chairs, and a pile of wood all ready for us after a fun ATV ride down to the camp site with our gear.
I could not recommend these folks and their farm enough!

Amazing place!! I couldn't say enough good things about it! It was nice getting to meet all the animals. The campsites are also very secluded so good privacy, and the hosts were very nice and accommodating. The only negative was that it's a bit of a hike to the bathroom, but that wasn't a big deal to us. We will definitely be back!!
