Too much of a hill and too noisy
When I arrived there was a heavy gate that you have to lift and pull open. It would be nice if the gate had a wheel on it because it's very difficult to get in and out and you have to walk into the trees a little bit unless you're really strong and can lift it in the middle. When I pulled up to the campsite it was pretty but it was one giant hill. I have a larger tent so I have to find flat ground. Because of that I specifically choose campsites that you can park at so I don't have to drag my heavy equipment around. On the listing it will show that it's a pull up site but when you get your directions they'll ask that you park on the gravel at the top of the hill. Because I'm a solo camper most of the time I don't feel comfortable camping far from my car in case of dangerous wild animals or people that I don't trust. I ended up choosing a spot between the pond and the lake. Huge mistake. I was wedged between the screaming frogs all night. They're relentless. The grass was mowed beautifully and the ducks were a joy to watch. There are several places to sit around the lake and they provided some chairs and boats if you enjoy that. I just don't think this was the best spot for me. I didn't get the relaxing comfortable feeling I was seeking while I was here due to neighbors setting off booming fireworks until 1AM and all the neighborhood dogs barking together at 4AM. Finally laid down for a nap around 11AM and the neighbors starts shooting off guns. I won't be returning.

This site was super private, very beautiful, and the fishing was amazing! The three ducks hung close and were a pleasure to wake up to! The creek and frogs at night was so soothing.

Wonderful space and area!
Camping next to the pond was so beautiful and Larissa was an amazing host. She was very prompt about responding to questions. The property was incredibly well maintained, and if made it so easy to set up. Beyond the campsite, the area is great with lots of local stuff to checkout, including a whisky distillery about 10 minutes away!

Not ideal tent camp. Better small r
Nice short drive down to site 1 from gate. Site 1 seems better area for small rv, ( tear drop etc ) because the semi level area too rough for a tent, but better for a small r.v., site 1 has fire ring, picnic table and lake view, a grill and trash can . There are limited spots level enough for a tent, none of which are close to the fire ring. We found a spot uphill from the fire ring that worked., and a few other spots mostly near the walking area around the lake and further uphill in the meadow. It depends on the size of your tent where you can put it. Great place for a full moon. There is water, and a power pole, I imagine it has receptacles, I didn't look. More fire rings near level spots would be nice. Would camp again. Minimal road noise from the distance, farm animal noises and barking dogs in distance. Otherwise very quiet.

A weekend away
Such an amazing space. It was the perfect weather, we stayed two nights, and it was the perfect getaway for our family. And only being about 1 1/2 hours from the city it was the perfect weekend getaway from our normal routine.
