Riverside Hideout
This was not a peaceful getaway. It was very busy. There were cars constantly driving by and the places are very close together. This listing says you can fish but you have to walk a very tight path with a drop off along one side and hanging on to the fence on the other side. Where you do fish at there are a lot of sticks/logs in front of you so it is hard to reel your line in. The camper was very nice but the inside refrigerator never got cold and the hot tub messed up the first night we were there. Also, the propane for the grill ran out in the middle of grilling our first meal and our meat got ruined because it took 4 hours for the housekeeper to bring more. The deer were very friendly and there were so many so we really enjoyed that. However, the second day we were there my leg fell through the deck. Luckily I didnât get hurt but I donât see how I didnât. When we brought all the issues up to the owner she apologized and offered us $50. We told her that would barely even cover all the food that got ruined and she simply never responded! :( we were really looking forward to this trip with our children but we were really disappointed with all the issues we had and felt that the description and pictures were angled in a way that made it seem more secluded and on the water and it wasnât.

Riverside Hideout
A perfect Hideout getaway!
Kathleenâs Riverside Hideout was a perfect getaway for our family. We went on a great hike, hung out at the Cartecay River Brewing Co. and relaxed by the fire pit and in the hot tub.
Kathleen was a great host and had everything turnkey for us when we arrived at the RV.

Riverside Hideout
Kathleenâs spot and RV are gorgeous! Everything was clean and comfortable, with little touches that made it super convenient. The surrounding woods and nature are absolutely breathtaking. Weâre disappointed that we only had one night to take it all in!
