About Horses Slept Here - Camping
30 miles east of Atlanta only two miles off I-20.
Just when You wish you could find a cool place to camp rather than go to a hotel, and State park campgrounds seem too civilized or too busy. You need Inexpensive, private , beautiful, easy. This is it.
Hazelbrand is at the end of a windy road of horse farms and cottage farms. Once you leave the asphalt you are on a deserted forest island. Come through the cattle gate and lock it behind you. Pasture, a lake and a green tunnel to pass under - then wind your way toward the red barn. You can set up camp anywhere. Quiet beautiful and far far away. We used to sleep around the campfire and our horses would lay down next to us! We do ask you to contact us so we don't over overlap campers and barn renters. If we have people renting the barn we won't open up to campers without approval and we will ask you the same. We are in residence some of the time - from our home in Arizona.Under the tin roof awning of the barn is a totally awesome bathroom and a good setup for camp cooking. It has a long work table and lots of shelving- with electricity and water. Picnic table close by!

Cynthia's property is serene, secluded, and peaceful without being too far away from the city and other near by amenities, like stores. It was a perfect get away after an already hectic week, and being only 45 minutes from Atlanta makes it accessible to the city folk for a quick get away! My friends and I enjoyed our stay very much and loved how much land there was to explore. We all wished it was warmer so we could jump off the diving board into the small lake right by our tents and the barn. In the morning, we walked around and found a near by stream that looked beautiful in the morning light. The bathroom off of the barn had it's own mini heater for the colder mornings and nights, and a wonderful shower/tub that we were all in love with. All in all, it was a great stay. Hazelbrand is a hidden gem with lots of property for large gatherings or small ones.
