This property is owned by a turf services provider. We like grass, however there are matured trees along most of the turf providing shade and privacy. Our service vehicles leave early so you have the place to yourself most of the day, The kids are grown and elsewhere so there is plenty of privacy, easy access to the interstate, road biking to Athens, GA and Jackson county is known for its great biking. Bring your golf club or clubs. you may to practice on the driving range. Grocery stores are within 2 miles, Our nearby steak house is second to none in Atlanta, 3 miles away, Road Atlanta for races is very convenient as is Chateau Elan for golf, dining and wine. Access to our office bathroom and shower is available. This property is close to Atlanta and is a great stop going through, or for a couple day excursion, close by There is only one site available at the Indian River at the rear of the property

What a lovely spot. My son and i went camping for Halloween. The creek next to the sites babbles as you sleep. Lots of lovely birds flying by. A swing at one site for my son to play on. An firewood to burn to keep warm.

Richard was a great host. He was very friendly and easy to reach if we needed anything. The site was beautiful and we had such a relaxing weekend. I would definitely recommend this site And will be in the future:)

Woods Next to Indian River

Loads of fun, beauty, and comfort!

We had a lot of fun at Home of the Sandman! The camp site was really nice and right beside the water, which is what we were looking for. Access to a bathroom and shower was a definite plus! The property is beautiful and the hosts were great! Richard even brought us some home grown tomatoes. We had the woods, waterfront sites, a bathroom, and stores close. Best of both worlds!

quiet area, kind hosts

we just stayed for 1 night and had a great time. Richard let us use all the firewood we needed, showed us to the bathroom, and even gave us tomatoes and cucumbers. he was a very generous host and we would definitely stay here again. it is not a very secluded space, but being close to the house made us feel safer, and being close to the bathroom was nice and made a huge (positive) difference compared to having to dig a cat hole.
