Campers can choose between spacious campgrounds and lakeside yurts, and during the summer can cool off in the park’s swimming pool. In the early 1800s the area was a prosperous industrial town with several stores, a grist mill, cotton gin, blacksmith shop, a shoe factory, and hotel. Today you can hike up and explore the remains by traveling along the river’s edge and past the hilly forest.
