Hosts Scott and Nicole are kind and hospitable. The land is being worked into a fly fishing ground. Quiet and nestled along a rock bottom stream they have several camp sites in the woods and open field for your choosing. It's perfect for both tent and hammock camping. Bring your fly rod and expect a great time. It's close to a ton of pristine state parks for hiking and river hopping. Tullulah Gorge is worth all the steps - all 1000+ of them!
This was a great spot to hang out for the eclipse. Wonderful setting, easy access to the creek and Scott is a very warm and friendly host! There was even live music! My only advice would be to keep all dogs on leashes instead of just some of them.
Beautiful night skies, it was great to be away from all of the light pollution. We were here for the eclipse weekend, so the site was much more crowded than usual. Scott had a funky stage set up with some great folk music performances. If the sites are as secluded and private during other times as they are described, it would be a great place to hide in the woods and maybe do some fishing.
Adorable little quiet field/woods along the river bend. Scott has worked really hard to create some great ambiance and anticipated the family’s camping needs. Soccer goal, sting lights, fire pit, swing on the tree, a little music stage. A true gem! Our host, Scott checked in to make sure we were well and let our kids watch him feed the trout and release some trout he had caught. A great place to camp!
We stayed here for my daughter’s 13th birthday. The camp is a little slice of heaven tucked along Warwomen Creek, about a 15 minute drive east of Clayton, GA.
About 1/2 way from Clayton on the way to Hatch Camp and Art Farm is the Bartram Trail. This offer really good hiking very close to camp with views, waterfalls, etc. There are numerous other hikes in the area also making Hatch a very convenient camping spot for hikers. If you fish....look no further. The camp offers onsite fly fishing opportunities.
The camp itself has a very comfortable vibe as soon as you arrive. My wife said “it feels like we’re at a festival, but we’re the only ones here”.
They In fact do hold music events here, but on this weekend it was just us. You’ll likely be met by Skulley, the resident camp dog. She never left our side the whole weekend. This place magical. We will be backl.
Scott was a great host. He made sure I had everything I needed. There were live bands playing a concert on the property when I was there and they were actually pretty amazing!! Location is perfect as you are close to everything yet still off the beaten path still. My only regret is that I did not have enough time there. Did not get to fish with Scott but the camping neighbor caught the biggest trout of his life. I will definitely be back again and next time will be fishing with Scott.
Five friends and I stayed at Hatch Camp and Art Farm over Labor Day Weekend. We had a blast! Scott had three adorable puppies that hung out with us periodically. We reserved two camp sites and the space was perfect for our group of 6. Next to the campsite was a nice creek we spent some time hanging out in. The out house was under construction, so Scott provided a portalette that was very convenient. We hope to stay here again in the future! (ps check out Holcomb falls)
