Under new owners and new onsite managers. Privately owned Brooks Lake, located just 25 miles east of Atlanta and 5 miles North of I-20 in Conyers, Georgia. Brooks Lake is a peaceful retreat to the outdoors where you can meditate or be as active as you wish. 56 acres of rolling hills, shaded bluffs, grassy plains, and a 50 acre spring fed lake with serious fishing for Bass, Bream, Crappie, or Catfish. For the more active individual you can rent paddle boats, canoes or fishing boats. Complimenting Brooks Lake’s abundant green space, are its wonderful amenities such as: community fire pit, picnic pavilions, swimming, volleyball, horseshoes, softball, and basketball (All at your Own Risk; No Lifeguards on duty)! There are Restrooms available(no showers). We encourage everyone to continue using good social distancing for the safety of all.Located just 25 miles east of Atlanta and 5 miles North of I-20 in Conyers, Georgia. Complimenting Brooks Lake’s abundant green space, are its wonderful amenities such as: 50amp, 30amp, and 20amp 110 electric outlets, water, fire pits, picnic tables and pavilions, swimming beach, volleyball, horseshoes, softball, and basketball (All at your Own Risk; No Lifeguards on duty)! There are Restrooms available (no showers). Please plan to Check in before dark! Each sleeping tent or RV is a site and can be for up to 6 people. Each additional person after the first 2 per site is $10 a person. Please note hipcamp site numbers given when booking are meaningless. You will pick out your own site, unless you have an RV.

Had a great time here tent camping on one of their primitive sites. Hosts were friendly and responsive, and had beautiful some land.

It was our first time camping as a group and Laura and Bill helped us with any troubles we had. The view was beautiful and there wasn’t any worries about the wildlife around. Restrooms were clean and electricity was provided. Camping neighbors were respectful and not too loud. Very chill and peaceful for a first time camping experience!

Brooks Lake is not suitable for a motorhome. While the owner was very nice, we decided to leave and not try to drive our Class A 25’ motorhome over a single lane narrow dirt trail and over a dam spillway with no back-up or turnaround possible. The lake is really nice, but to scary to get to campground.

Laura and Bill were great. Loved the layout and the primitive camping in the woods. We will definitely be returning.

Best place for camping
This place is AMAZING! You can set a tent and stay overnight, catch some fish, go for a swim and ride your own bike. You can have a nice BBQ next to the lake like we did, roast s'more and just relax and forget about the hustle and bustle of the city. Laura and Bill went above and beyond accommodating us, they had some excellent quality firewood that lasted for hours, you can also rent a boat if you want to explore the lake. All and all, this is THE place if you want a quick gateway from the city, it's just 40 minutes away from Atlanta and you have stores and restaurants near by too. We'll be definitely coming back in the summer, just make sure to arrive early so you can pick the best spot.
