Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips. Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi. Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired. The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse). There is a small private stocked lake open to all guests of Lizardsniffer for fishing and swimming. At the lake you will find an amenities cabin called Glowy Bobber that has a full bathroom and outdoor shower as well as Kayaks and floats for guest use.

Jerry's Fishing Lake - Camping

Enjoy fishing and camping right by the water. This beautiful 15 acre track hosts 2 private ponds. Both ponds are fully stocked with bass, bream, catfish, carp and crappie. Tent campsites are located all around the 2.5 acre pond. Keep up to 8 lbs of fish for your family or $3.50 lb thereafter. (catch and release is OK). A fishing license is not required on this private property. Campfires are allowed inside your site's fire pit, so bring your own firewood and enjoy a great cookout at night. The lake(s) are kept overly stocked so the fishing is almost always great! Expect to catch fish ranging from 2 lbs - 60lbs. Our farm raised Channel Catfish are hard to beat when it comes to great taste. We have a live bait and tackle shop on site along with food/snacks. If you are looking to catch a lot of fish with family and friends you can't beat Jerry’s Lake.

About

A pretty park with three fishing lakes and over 1,177 acres, A.H Stephens State Park is known as an equestrian’s paradise. There are full facilities to make riding easier on you, and 19 miles of trails to trot around on. The Confederate museum in the park boasts one of the best collections of Civil War artifacts anywhere in Georgia and A.H. Stephen’s former home here, Liberty Hall, has been nicely renovated and is open for tours. Other structures in the park feature Colonial and Revival architecture.

Aside from the solid educational opportunities, visitors also enjoy aquatic activities on several mill ponds, peaceful nature trails and geocaching. There are also a number of special events throughout the year including a fishing rodeo, Fourth of July celebration, and a ghoulish Halloween evening in tribute to Mister Stephens.
