The vibe at Woodbury Farms
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We pulled up to Woodbury Farms after going back and forth on Cattle Drive Trail a couple times and absolutely fell in love! (Just as a heads up, the GPS will try to send you into an open pasture. As you turn onto Cattle Drive Trail, keep an eye out for the wooden sign with white painted numbers on it on the left!).
Though we got a little turned around, as soon as we opened the gate and let ourselves in, we knew we had found a special place. There are all kinds of animals here: a goat that will literally follow you around, a duck, many chickens, several horses, a miniature pony and even a pig! Most of the animals are just roaming around and are happy to let you pet them. If you’re interested at all in animals, this farm will let you interact with them. We found it really easy to relax here because the animals were so loving.
As far as the actual camping goes, the host will most likely show you where she’d like you to put your tent or vehicle but when we arrived she was out for the day and said we could find a spot wherever we liked! We explored the property on foot and then chose a spot just off the main sandy driveway that was in a bit of shade. There are numerous places to choose from, all of which we think would make a great place to spend an evening or two.
Oh and there is a toilet and shower on the premises. Just follow the purple blazes on the trees and you’ll end up at a most unique bathroom!
We easily recommend this as a place to stay and hope you have a fun time here!
I loved it! It's a little paradise. The outdoor shower it's great, you have to share with some chikens 😁 We made a fire, you have lot of twigs of dry woods. The animals are curious so horse, dogs, cats, goat ( this goat is awsome) gonna watch What are you cooking. I really enjoy my stay and the Host are attentive :)
Jenna is a great host who is friendly, helpful and really loves all of her animals. The site is rustic so be prepared with good boots and roughin it a bit. The outdoor shower and a cold beer are much needed and thoroughly enjoyed after a day at the ranch. Would absolutely stay here again!
