Papa Franco bought the farm in 1988. He wanted to raise his 4 children in the country, on a farm. Large gardens abundant with vegetables were grown and meat raised right here on the farm. You can pitch wherever you would like on the property and enjoy the festival we have going on right now, fish in our stocked pond or just enjoy some nice solitude.

This large property gave us many things to do. There is a large lake which is stocked with fish, woods for hunting, a petting zoo and plenty of room for RV and tent camping. The host was very friendly and gave us everything we needed for a great night. We strongly recommend this place, especially if you have kids.

Franco was very accommodating and his property was beautiful and very well maintained. He went out of his was to make sure we enjoyed our stay. He even let us borrow some fishing poles. His lake is STOCKED with fish. Would recommend to a friend
We really enjoyed our one night stay. We setup camp by the pond and listened to the frogs and owls all night. Spent some time fishing and caught some large tilapia. Will stay here again.

Franco and his son were very friendly and helpful hosts. It was only my 4 yo son and I. They shared some details of the area and gave us the freedom to explore. We set up our gear, collected some wood nearby and worms from the pasture. We watched Ms. piggy and fed the cows. They had some delicious grapes that we picked right off the vine. Later we used the worms for fishing and caught 4 tilapias, one after the other. Made a fire, marshmallows, the whole 9. It was great fun and for my 4 yo first camping trip I could tell he had a blast as well.
Nice place but some misadvertising
The place itself was nice but there was some misadvertising.
Pros: landscape of the farm
Lifestock on site
Star gazing
Friendly hosts
Cons: no access to toilet or running water despite accessibility being advertised on website.

After our first planned visit was rained out we knew we really wanted to make sure we tried to come back. We were excited to bring the kids and our dogs to have a little unique camping experience. It just so worked out that the day we were able to come back was also the night of a Fall Festival on the farm. This was such a pleasant surprise for the kids with vendors, hayride, live animals, and delicious food. It was nice the next morning that we were able to cast a line in their stocked lake. While we weren't so lucky and didn't get any bites, we know there were definitely fish there as we got to see a hawk fly down to grab a fish from the lake. Franco was very friendly upon arrival and we were directed to where we'd be camping at for the night. We had a great time and the kids and doggos loved it! Just watch your step so you don't step on a fire ant hill like I did ;)
The farm was a great place to stay the night. Quiet corner of the farm near a stocked pond with a trebuchet near it. Loved it.
Primitive camping on a private farm
Franco's farm is delightful. We found this place in a pinch when all campgrounds in Ocala were booked for Thanksgiving weekend. The site is private, we set up in the back and had a nice view of the property and the lake. We did not fish but were offered the opportunity to. Overnight you could overhear all kinds of wildlife.. dogs, coyotes, birds, and other critters. The farm had pigs and cows to look at and a really fun slide for the kids. Franco is as nice as can be and really knows the area. He pointed us to Rainbow Springs which was a great recommendation!
This is a great campsite if you have kids, there is plenty of wide open spaces for running and paying. The slide area by the pigs kept my 4 and 5 year old occupied for hours.
