Karma Acres Farm was started in 2010 by Lee Hughes and Lisa Broward to promote their love for beekeeping and gardening for wildlife. They produce wonderful, natural, raw honey and honey products for their local community. In fact, their farm was voted as #1 best honey provider in Nassau County in 2019. Come and stay in our honeybee themed vintage camper on our 5 acre honeybee farm in Callahan, Florida.   We're about 10 minutes north of the Jacksonville airport in Nassau County.  30 minutes to downtown Jacksonville, 40 minutes to historic Fernandina Beach, 75 minutes to St. Augustine, 2 hours to Savannah and Daytona Beach, 3.5 hours to Orlando. We have room for two at our farm camp site where you have complete privacy in a beautiful farm setting. Our camper has premium double-sized bedding, linens, towels, a fridge, stove, kitchen plates and utensils, a shower and toilet, WIFI and AC with heat. - everything you need to be comfortable for a relaxing get-away. Relax on comfortable lounge chairs and enjoy the wildlife and birds from your covered, private deck.  Feel free to fix dinner on the gas barbeque grill we provide, then build a fire, and stay up to watch the stars.  There are wildflowers to enjoy, bees and other pollinators to photograph, blueberries to pick around the start of summer and peace and quiet year-round.  Get to know our two donkeys, Bonnet and Mason, who share the pasture, and who will become your new best friends.  They are tame, friendly and inquisitive.  If you are like our previous guests, Bonnet and Mason will likely be one of the highlights of your stay.  (Just don't leave the gate open no matter what they say!) Keep an eye out for our resident eastern bluebirds and gopher tortoises!  Hiking and kayaking are available at several nearby sites.   Plan to visit historic Fernandina Beach about 40 minutes away.  You'll enjoy lunching and brunching in their quaint and fun downtown, a vibrant farmers market on Saturday mornings,  a interesting walking tour of Ft. Clinch State Park and finishing the day off with a shrimp basket listening to live music at Sliders, one of the area's favorites oceanfront dining and entertainment centers. ============================== We provide some fun extras to enhance your stay.  You can schedule:   ==============================   - The Karma Bee Experiece - an unforgettable 60-minute tour of our bee farm learning what bees and beekeepers do to produce a jar of honey.  In fact, we will "suit you up" so you can get up close and personal with a working beehive. With luck, the hive's queen will come out to say hello.  $30 for 2   - Honey Tasting and Bird Watching on the Porch - We've gathered honeys from around the world.  Here's your chance taste 6-8 samples while watching birds and munching on cheese and crackers drizzled with Karma Acres Honey.  You'll be amazed how various honeys look, smell and taste - $35 for 2   - A Private, 45-min Yoga Session with Certified Instuctor for 2 - $45   - A 90-minute Nature Walk  - The Forest comes alive during this walk and talk with a Master Naturalist & Professional Gardener- $50 for 2 ========================================= For more information about these extras AND their availability, message us and we will send you a brochure about them and other things to do while in the area. ========================================= We have dozens of 5 Star reviews from our previous guests who absolutely loved the quiet, the cuteness and serenity of the HoneyBee BnB - and, especially our donkeys. Camp while learning bees
Camping at Karma Acres was such a delightful experience. The actual camper was tastefully decorated according to her beekeeper theme. She had several added touches including fresh baked brownies & honey when we arrived. The hosts were so pleasant, accommodating & quite friendly. Their property was easy to access & private. The added feature of their pet donkeys was a definite bonus. Lee & Lisa are dog lovers so we were able to take our pup with us which we were so appreciative for their generosity. (Even though we'd like to not tell & keep their place our secret so as to not bookup whe. we go back) We would highly recommend this hipcamp to anyone staying in the North Florida area.

The Good Karma HoneyBee BnB
The donkeys were very friendly, and Lisa's homemade baked goodies that she left for us were delicious. While the camper is on the same land that Lisa and Lee live on, we felt like we had plenty of privacy and space to enjoy the serenity of the farm. Lisa is very knowledgeable about bees, and we highly recommend allowing her to give you a tour. The wifi only worked on the porch for us, which was A OK because it was so beautiful! Everything was clean and we had everything we needed.
Location
Callahan, Nassau, Florida, United StatesTraditional, ancestral territory of Timucua, Mvskoke (Muscogee), and Miccosukee First Nations according to To respect the Host's privacy, the precise address of this land will be provided after booking
