WOW! Where do I start? My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice quiet campground to get away from all this craziness happening in the world, and we found the jackpot!
First we had booked our stay from Friday-Monday but then we had checked the weather and realized that it may rain, so we reached out to Kathy and Jane and they were so accommodating and understanding. Without any question they moved our reservation to Monday- Thursday and were so excited to have us as guests.
Upon arrival Jane was so sweet as to come out to the main road and direct us onto her property and have us park in a nice shaded spot close to where we would be setting up our campsite.
She walked us through her property and made sure we were comfortable with the other yurts and pop-up campers that were close by. After my boyfriend and i got all set up, she had stopped by with a welcoming gift of a CACTUS! HOW COOL! She even wrote little inspiring words on the rocks that were included in the cactus pot. She was so kind as to also bring us a map of the area with points of interest, a pizza menu in case we wanted to order food one day and a local grocery store booklet as well.
The campground was clean and well maintained with a shower and a bathroom made out of pallets, as crazy as that sounds, it was actually really impressive! She had little solar lights in the bathroom in case you had to go at night time, there was a little vase with flowers, sanitizer, bug spray, sunscreen and peppermint oil to keep the bugs away.
*All of this was available for use by the campers at no extra cost.*
Jane had our campsite set up with a dish-washing station stocked with buckets, dish-drying rack, sponges, towels, scrubbies, soap, and HAND SANITIZER!
There was also a small table set up with plates, cups, dishes and cooking essentials (such as pots, pans, tongs, and cutlery.)
There was also a hose available for use which honestly saved our lives in the heat!
We found an awesome spot to hang up our hammock and set up our yoga mats right over the small pond that was located on the campsite. The art work around the pond was so interesting and i can't wait to see what other artwork is added in the future! It really gave it the DIY campground feel.
Now lets talk about the wildlife! Stick bugs, caterpillars, lizards, birds, donkeys, and roosters! Waking up to the sound of roosters in the morning was so incredible, I may just have to get my own one day! LOL. We kept mosquito repellent on so we never had any issues with bugs or bites thankfully! There was some red ants but surprisingly enough, we were barefoot for most of the time and NEVER got bit. We decided to go on a small hike of her property and enjoyed the nature and scenery .
We were the only campers on the campsite at the time and Jane 100% respected our privacy, and even though she was active around the campsite, fixing up areas for other campers, she remained quiet and never disturbed us. It really felt comfortable knowing that we were just a short walk away from her house if we needed anything urgently and closeby to hospitals if anything were to happen. With all this being said, we felt safe, comfortable and respected the entire length of our stay.
Before we headed out we thanked Jane for her hospitality and kindness with a bottle of wine which she was so happy to receive! I know that anyone AND everyone who stays at this campsite will fall in love with it and be back time and time again!
--- love your campers, Porscha & Chris

Awesome place. It's a work in progress and Katey and Math are amazing hosts. They made sure we were good and didn't intrude at all on our time. We'll definitely be back!!!
The hostess was amazing. The directions to the camp were very clear. The hostess made sure we had everything we needed and we had complete privacy on the back of the property. Thank you so much for the getaway!

We were there while there were a ton of other campers and yet it was so quiet! The stars were gorgeous and the night so peaceful. We loved the cedar compost toilet as it was kept up very well. We did bring some extra tables, chairs and a cart to wheel our supplies in and out as it’s a little bit of a walk in if you bring a ton of stuff like us. There is so much to see nearby and it proved to be a great location for day trips for us, and the host was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely try to come back soon!

This was an adorable little campground! We pitched our tent right next to small pond, across from which was engaging art pieces. We ran across some neat wildlife, especially two little owls! We got about two feet away from them and they were SO CUTE!! The cedar sawdust toilet was probably the most delightful camp latrine I have ever experienced. I really felt like the hosts thought of everything. I was quite prepared but if I hadn't been, I would have had no issues. They had TP, hand sanitizer, essential oils for smells. The camp kitchen had lots of pots/pans/kettles and a wash basin, sponge, and detergent, water hose + sprayer and electric power line, a wee dining table, multiple accessible bins for landfill and recycling, and fire pits. A few notes that I think I missed when booking. You park and then walk in. The host provided a wheelbarrow or dolly which I thought was quite nice for the car campers. I would have packed better if I realized but it was still less than 1/4 mi. The camp kitchen mentioned is exceptionally well stocked and fully outdoors.
My friend and I booked this location last minute to tent camp. There was rain expected at check in so our host offered an already set up tent with a tarp cover, mattress and blankets as an option so we didn’t have to set up in the rain. That was such an appreciated option and we went with it. It was clean and set up nicely with all we may need. Jane, our host, was super nice and hospitable. The art was beautiful and gave off a peaceful vibe. Overall, a fun stay and I would recommend!
Jane was super accommodating!!! I wasnt camping in my tent bit staying in my van so she found me a choice spot thst fit my needs! We only stayed one night as im working on the road... But am very much looking forward to returning to enjoy her very cool place!! A wonderful Host and wonderful property!!!
We really enjoyed having a little giveaway only 30 minutes from the city. The area is quiet and very natural. We had a lovely visit, and thank you again for jumping our car!!
