Taste of Old Florida is an oasis! Only 30 minutes west of the beach and a mile and a half west of I95 is this beautiful property. The hosts live on the property along with their two dogs, two miniature horses, and two hens (with a flock of baby chicks). All of the four legged animals are happy for you to pet them and all of them give kisses!
This property is 10 acres of beautifully maintained old growth oaks and palm trees. There is a large pond behind the hosts house that is home to two alligators and some snapping turtles, as well. At the barn, where the horses sleep is also an outdoor shower with hot water, some electrical outlets, and a table with chairs for relaxing or getting work done. There was also a clean porta john to use. While we were there (though we didn’t actually see them) is a momma owl with her babies living in a nook in the barn!
Back behind and to the side of the house is a well shaded area dense with palm trees that we were able to drive our small van into to camp for the night. There is also another table with chairs here for you to enjoy. We didn’t make a fire while we were there, but were offered wood by the guests. We had absolute privacy in this spot and the night was quiet and dark. We felt very safe and very welcome here. The hosts are super friendly and work very hard to create and maintain such a stunning property.
We can’t recommend this place enough! This is camping in luxury!

The host was great! Even accommodated us the last minute when the state parks were book we had a great time and they made sure we had everything g we needed!
Had a really great time at this spot. The host Christine was just awesome, and she couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. Her property is gorgeous, and the camp site is really ideal. Miniature horses on site, water, outdoor shower, and a great fire pit.
Her cute dog Bristol even kept watch over us all nights. Highly recommended!

We loved having you and hope that you come back some day soon! What an amazing shot of Bristol! Some guard dog😉
My boyfriend and I instant booked this place pretty last minute. Our hosts were SO accommodating. This was our favorite HipCamp so far! Such a beautiful piece of property! We are definitely coming back to camp there soon.

So sorry for the late response, you are so sweet, thanks!
The propert was exceptional, Christine and her husband where gracious hosts and they gave great recommendations on things to do in the area. Would highly recommend.

Thank you so much! Its's people like you that make it so easy.
We had a great time camping on Christine's property. Before arriving, she was very communicative, and was even nice enough to let us overstay the checkout time a little bit since we had gotten in late the night before.
The property is beautiful, and there is plenty of space to set up camp and trees to use for hammocks and supports. Christine even had some firewood available for us to use alongside the wood that we had brought (which I would also recommend doing).
There was another individual also camping on the property, and while we were fairly close to each other distance-wise, it was still far enough that we didn't have to interact if we did not want to. Christine is surrounded by a nature preserve that you are free to explore, and right up the road is a natural spring that you can hike to. She was very amicable and hospitable, and I would absolutely stay here again.
One warning- she does have two dogs that are generally outside the house and free to roam. We also brought a dog, and they were all friendly with one another. However, Christine's beagle has a nose for food! Make sure you don't leave any out, and put your trash bags on top of your car or hang them on a high branch, because (as we found out) the beagle will tear into those bags for whatever food it can smell. There is also a pond on the property that generally has gators. Christine will warn you about this, but if your dog likes to swim, keep a close eye on them.
Otherwise, we had a great time! Thanks Christine!

Thank you Kevin, great advice for future campers😁. Anytime you and friends need a getaway from the hectic life come back and join us.
Had a great time. Nice camp sites under the palms. Jensen Beach is beautiful and Stuart is nearby.
Christine made our first Hipcamp experience awesome. We took our 4 month old son on his first camping experience and this was the perfect place to do it. Christine was welcoming and the house and camping space was beautiful. Hope to come back again!

We loved having you and introducing your son to our granddaughter! Special memories.
We had an absolutely fantastic time. Christine was amazingly hospitable. The site was perfect. Not one issue whatsoever. Thank you for making you property available for people to share. Without a doubt we will be returning.

It's a pleasure to have people as sweet as you two! We enjoyed your visit.
