Pitch a tent, hang a hammock or park your camper on our 5-acre hobby farm! We live in a log cabin on the property with our chickens, goats, pig and dogs. You can pick a spot in the open pasture for your camper or set up your tent/hammock in a wooded area on the property. There is electricity that you can use with an extension cord if needed (this is only available in the pasture). We are in a unique area that has some neighborhoods on one side of the road and large properties with acreage on the other side, so we are close to grocery stores and shopping. We are on a main road, so you'll hear cars driving by. This listing is ONLY a spot to set up a camp and does not include the RV as seen in some pictures.
There are several parks nearby including Lake Manatee and Rye Preserve. There are lots of places to kayak on the river, in the bay or in the ocean around the area. One of my favorite places is Robinson Preserve. If you need a suggestion just let me know! We have plenty of room for you to bring all your gear.
We are close to: Premier Sports Campus Lakewood Ranch (6 miles), Bradenton Motorsports/Desoto Speedeay (7 miles), Lakewood Ranch Main St (9.9 miles), Benderson Rowing Park (15 miles), Anna Maria Island (21 miles), Siesta Key Beach (29 miles), St. Pete (35 miles), Tampa (50 miles).
Since we have farm animals and most of our neighbors have animals, you will hear noises at night. Our property has grapefruit trees and orange trees that you can pick when in season. No pets permitted.
***Please note there are no restroom facilities for campers.***

The vibe at Farm House Campsite
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We came to the Farmhouse Camper by way of St. Petersburg, which is only about a 40 minute drive over a beautiful bridge! The site was easy to find and is only a short distance from grocery stores, banks, etc. You will definitely feel like you have left the coast and driven out to rural farmland when you get out here, but it’s only 22 miles to Bradenton Beach.
Rye Road is a busy road but the camper is set back far enough and there are so many live oak trees between the road and the camper, that the noise is nothing more than a slight blur in the background. This camper is perfect for 2 people to enjoy. It is very clean and tidy. We had fresh chicken eggs set out for us on the kitchen table. There is also plenty of silverware and pots and pans for cooking. The bathroom has a standing shower and came with shampoo, conditioner, and soap. We spent most of our time outside though! There is a fire ring, table and chairs, grill, trash and recycling, and another set of chairs right outside the camper. The trees here are gorgeous!!!!
A few minutes after arriving we were greeted by Christina and Travis. They welcomed us further back on the property to meet all the other animals. We met a flock of chickens (Erin gathered eggs from under a broody hen for the first time!!!), two curious goats, a very talkative pig, their two spoiled pups, and some baby chicks. They also have a beautiful garden behind their home. They showed us all around their 5 acres. There is a grapefruit tree, wild small orange tree - both of which we picked fruit from. Also making a home here are a couple of owls. We honestly did not want to leave. Our hosts were so generous and kind, we truly felt at home here. Do not hesitate to book this place, either the camper or to bring your own camper or tent!
