Camping on the river!
We loved being on the river. There are so many birds. It's a great place for bird watchers. If you like nature, this is the place to camp. The hosts,Christine and her husband, were very accommodating. She also offered fresh eggs. 😃

Peaceful Retreat
Royal Springs Retreat was just what we were looking for. Peaceful and relaxing. Right on the river with a short walk to Royal Spring. Christine was very nice and reachable to answer any questions. Make sure you say hi to “Shannon” (our name for her 😉) and her pet owl down by the dock! Can’t wait to return!

I normally don't leave review, but this time I have too. Even I know next time I try to book a date it will be hard, because the site it is awesome. The site location is well locate, even the access road is in dirt you will not have problem accessing the site. The site has a beautiful view over looking the rive. The hospitality of Christine and her husband are exceptional. If you are looking to scape from the city noise or once to have a experience of been out in the country without been to far up north this is your site. It nice to have a spring close by as well.

A Relaxing Visit to Royal Springs
Christine's place is a great site to relax and unwind while watching the Suwannee roll by. She was communicative, friendly, and the site is as described.

Way Down Upon the Suwannee River...
We're obviously the odd men out however it didn't meet our basic expectations. The river was stunning and did not disappoint however the river deck wood was covered in crud as was the lawn furniture on and near it. Nothing had been power washed in quite some time?? We would have had to scrub down anything we attempted to sit on. We can handle a little dirt as I had horses into my 50s and my husband's a builder. In addition, there were rusty "decorations" sitting everywhere. My husband just had a kidney transplant in June and my fear that he would cut himself on something rusty far out weighed any thought of them being attractive. All the "stuff" sitting around instantly made both of our stress levels go up as we're less is more and property is spotless for guests type people. We just wanted a clean location where we could relax and enjoy the deck and deck furniture while taking in the gorgeous views. There was no worry about it being winter and ugly. We're from Michigan, we know exactly what ugly winter means. The final issue was the dogs being able to run. I thought that meant it was fenced in (as in the lot we were on). Apparently there are 3 lots. Because there was nothing keeping them from running off into the brush made us extremely nervous as we've been told nothing but watch out for poisonous snakes. We left. We so appreciate you offering your property, we know it's not an easy process however we did want to be truthful. Thanks

Great Outdoors!
We had a great time on the river. We had perfect weather wand were able to have a campfire. It was an emotional weekend, fiancé placed his dad’s ashes with his grandparents in White Springs. This campsite was very peaceful and made us feel like we weren’t in FL. We’ll definitely be back and made with some more campers!
