Great little off grid cabin. The shower is amazing on a cool morning. Beautiful landscape and walking trails down Horse Creek. Lots of wildlife to see, we saw 2 deer early in the morning. And Dennis was very nice and accommodating.

This spot is a gem. We hope to go back, maybe with friends. The property is beautiful and the owner is a great host.
What a lovely place! We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Hermitage cabin and loved exploring the beautiful property. We had our two kids with us, age 6 and 8 and they got a chance to explore freely and safely, just like it was meant to be. Dennis was a wonderful host! Can't wait to go back with friends!

Great get away. The only things that I was not happy about is that the cost of firewood $25 seems very steep and after we booked we were informed the hot water tank was not working.
Pristine beauty and the hosts were very gracious! Loved walking along the stream and gazing at how bright the stars were in the midst of the woods... unlike in Lakeland where I live.
Thank you Dennis and Julia!!
Imagine no sounds of automobiles, air conditioners or other mechanical racket. Just birds, crickets, trees rustling in the breeze and the occasional bellowing of a cow. Serene, undisturbed peacefulness. Beautiful natural surroundings in a cozy off the grid cracker style cabin. A calming and rare treat with a most welcoming host.
We loved this space...quiet...beautiful surroundings...we were very comfortable.

I almost hesitate to write a rave review as I want to keep this amazing secret to myself! The Cabin was clean and charming- I didn’t want to leave. Picturesque is an understatement and the host was a surprising delight as well. I think the lack of WiFi and even phone signal was a welcome retreat from the average vacation. I will be back, hopefully sooner than later!

The Hermitage is one of two cabins on a secluded property framed by Horse Creek to the east and vast pasture lands to the west. If your goal is restoration and rejuvenation you will be very satisfied. Under the shade of Live Oaks the property includes a deck for reading or meditation. Lots of acreage for pleasant walks. Zero phone reception! Impeccable directions by and a special welcome from Dennis made our visit seamless.
