My dear husband Poppy bought this property back in 2001 for me to have my dream of owning 5acres along the Suwannee river... As a child we visited Florida every year to see my grandparent... The Suwannee captured my heart at a young age... We found this lovely piece of heaven and started to clear it by hand.. Not knowing the names of the trees I decided to join the master gardeners on '05... Didn't want to cut anything I didn't know what it was..i learned a great deal about the area which is surrounded by dragonwood trees with a heavenly fragrance in the spring... Down along the path you will find many old growth oaks on the way to the sinkhole...l lovely walk under the canopy..
