HI, I have a parcel of 1.25 acres in Okeechobee fl, it is definitely country land. This area is in Okeechobee county Florida near the Kissimmee Prairie preserve state park it is in a area called the Viking a.k.a. Prairie or maybe the prairie. There is lots of wildlife maybe you’ll see a turkey, birds, hawks, pigs, deer, etc. maybe you’ll get to see fireflies at night and of course the stars. Very private, you can setup a tent or use a rv, or just hang out, good place for atv, utv, bring a horse, goat, cow lol. This a perfect to get away from it all and relax. If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
The drive out to this property is an easy one. The directions in our GPS led us right to the grassy road. From there, be sure to follow the host, Kendall’s, directions which will take you the rest of the way. If you’re arriving at night be careful when you’re turning in that you don’t go into the ditch. There’s a bit of a drop off turning into his property.
Once you’re there, you’ll notice a pond and a couple of palm trees. The land is flat and has plenty of space for several tents. We had no problem finding a place for our van.
Also on the property are two trailers. He doesn’t want guests to enter any of the trailers and would like for people to stay off the tractor. Please use caution if you are walking around the property as there are numerous piles of wood and metal. We don’t recommend going near them, especially if you’re in flip flops.
On the plus side it was super quiet out there. The only company we had in any direction were some cows across the road. Other than that it was just and the land. Also, it’s not too far from the Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park!
