This land was inhabited by pre-Columbian indigenous peoples and there is a burial mound here dating back nearly 1300 years. I got sick the day we were supposed to go camping so didn't get a chance to view the site. I'm sure it's great. The host was very nice and recommended lots of places in the area to visit

stayed here in April in a class a rv, very beautiful property with the campsite being under grandaddy oaks. Plenty of space for a pet or just to enjoy nature and quite. 30 amp electric and water included but no sewer hookups or place to dump onsite. This is an undeveloped site so no pad or gravel. this is a working farm with folks going about their chores so don't expect complete privacy, but everyone including the host was very nice and accommodating. Would stay here again but do be warned this site was very active for ticks and had to remove several from ourselves, so bring repellent and enjoy an off the beaten path spot to camp!

This was my first time using the Hipcamp site and we had a great experience. I highly recommend Joseph's farm. The campsites are private, large and well maintained. There are multiple trails to take short hikes and lots of trees and wild life. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My only suggestion to anyone choosing to camp there is make sure to bring either a grill or a grate for the camp fire if you plan to do any cooking. I was prepared so it wasn't an issue.

Great hidden gem, 20 min. south of Gainesville. This communal farm can be a great launching point for many Old Florida adventures. Our hosts were gracious and went out of their way to be accommodating. No dump facilities on-site but Paynes Prairie State park has dump facilities and is about ten minutes away. This was our first Hip Camp experience and we're looking forward to more!
