We were the very first hip campers to stay here (it’s brand new), so without any prior reviews I just went for it when I booked. This place far exceeded any expectations I had. We had the best time here. I have two kids 7 & 9 and this property is total dream for kids. My kids loved walking around and pretending they were Indiana Jones, etc.
For adults, you feel like you are in a tropical paradise, complete with the amazing tiki bar area. There is even a talking parrot in a really cool cage.
The hosts were so nice, easy to talk to and very hospitable and accommodating. They made sure we felt welcome to their property and were comfortable.
We really enjoyed having full hookups. We recently upgraded from a pop-up to a 23 ft Winnebago, so this was a great place for us. We prefer unique or natural spots over most rv park type campgrounds. The way Jim has laid out the property and landscaped, it felt very natural and private. By the end of the week there were two other RVs there and we barely saw or heard anyone.
Location: you’re like 3 minutes from a grocery store, gas station and laundromat, and we were 10-25 minutes from awesome hiking and biking and the beach. We were there a week and never ran out of something to explore. Our favorite hikes were Oxbow and Round Island.
The hosts have two Great Danes. They are huggggge but very sweet, and coexisted easily with my kids and small dogs.
We will definitely come stay here again!
Jim and Carrie are exceptional hosts! They were extremely welcoming and helpful. The property was stunning a tropical oasis indeed! We will definitely go back to this hidden gem!
Jim and Carrie were great hosts, they were very friendly, kind and helpful!! Their property is absolutely amazing..... it was like being in a tropical oasis. We will definitely go back and highly recommend checking them out!! We enjoyed every minute of our time there. My grandkids especially had a great time playing with their very large Great Danes and their talking African grey. A memorable weekend!!
