Flamingo Pad

Very nice spot. Friendly, responsive and welcoming host.

We recently stayed at the Flamingo Pad on our way to camping at Fort DeSoto (this was a perfect location to get any supplies needed for the remainder of our trip!!) We had our dog with us too and the hosts were most gracious and accommodating - Ms Jennifer even had an amp converter ready for us. Although it was rainy/muddy most of the time, we could easily see that the nearby 'tree house' and fishing spots along the inlet were relaxing and peaceful retreats! Of course with nearly all places in humid Florida - bring your bug spray. Highly recommended!!

A great little spot! Our 22.5 MicroMini pulled right in and perfectly level. The site had a very convient utilities station, 50amp service. We used the provided 30 amp adapter.
Great location for us, central to Clearwater, St. Pete and Tampa Bay.
Our first night we had 5 friends over. Plenty of room for them to park. And the site offered an awesome deck, built up in the trees for entertaining. We all hung out up there and had a great time.
We have business develiping in the region, so we will be using the site a lot over the next 6 months!

Jennifer was very welcoming and friendly. We had a late arrival, but she still greeted us and directed us to our spot. It's a great site next to a creek, with an adorable outlook to hangout on. It is right in front of the house, but we just had our RV facing the other way and it felt private. It was a peaceful place. Thanks again, Jennifer! We will be back!

What a wonderful place to stay at! We booked this last minute as a “layover” stop heading further south and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Friendly and accommodating, and a fun tree house my kids loved! The hosts are also very respectful of your privacy and space. Thanks for the great experience Jennifer! And I will put that bike path on my list ;)

The spot was beautiful and very close to the Zoo and several breweries (the reason we chose Flamingo).
Jennifer was lovely and her family was very accommodating. It was just the 4 of us who stayed overnight.
My only error was that I had forgotten that pets were mentioned in the ad, and I also forgot my mother is not usually comfortable with dogs. My fault entirely. Since Sean and I are animal people... It didn't even occur to me till she said "oh, there are dogs here". So, I highly recommend this spot for people who love friendly dogs who will stop by to visit!
I also recommend you bring drinking water. There is well water for hookup to a camper, so you can run the toilet and shower, but the sulphur it the water is unpleasant to drink.
The hosts are absolutely lovely and very kind to let us stay at Christmas. Would return.

I am very happy to have discovered this little slice of heaven! Close and easy to get to, but with the feel of being away from it all in a rustic Florida setting.
Jennifer and Co. are wonderful/helpful/welcoming. I highly recommend, and will definitely be back.

Jennifer was a wonderful host with her family. She was incredibly gracious by waiting for us at the gate when we arrived after dark, so that we were able to find the location. The space was comfortable and close to stores, and places of interest. We LOVED the tree house and fire pit area. Jennifer and the Flamingo Pat were awesome! Thank you for a great first HipCamp stay!
