Come enjoy our beautiful 200 acre horse farm, conveniently located on the outskirts of St. Augustine, FL. Primitive camp sites available in multiple secluded locations around the property. You can set up camp on the lake, in the woods, or hang out in the open pasture. We run a natural environment facility for our herd of 15 plus horses so you will be camping in their home! With no barn or stalls, our horses are free to roam and are always curious about new visitors. While camping with us, you can book a trail ride, riding lesson, equine therapy session, or just enjoy the company of the herd. We offer kayaking in our 12 acre lake, campfire sites, hammocks right on the lake, and it's only a 10 minute drive or uber to downtown St. Augustine.
(With the convenience of our location also comes the white noise of the distant highway. However, the natural Zen of the property seems to absorb the hustle and bustle and campers never seem bothered by it.)

Private equine paradise
Ashley and Cole were awesome hosts! They accommodated our separate arrival times and were very kind to show us to our campsite and make sure we were all set up. The campsite itself was set up with a firepit, extra chopped wood, a composting toilet set up, and a quiet spot to watch the stars next to the lake. In the morning we were met by some curious and friendly horses who even kindly tolerated our dogs. The property was nice to walk around during the day and look at all the wildlife, to include a buck and many, many turkeys. We opted for the trail ride in the early afternoon and it was our favorite part getting to know the horses, the care that they receive, and learn all about Cole and Ashley (who are an awesome couple). We would definitely recommend staying here and taking advantage of the trail ride. We hope to come back again soon!
The name of this camp is nothing short of the truth! The weather was perfect and the sites were beautiful and the exact getaway from everyday life. Our hosts were some of the most kind and hospitable people I had ever met. Their equestrian knowledge is nothing less than impressive and combined with a ride on some of the horses kept at the camp, you’ll be roped in to the adventurous life they live from day to day. This is definitely a place where memories are made and a camp that you should not miss out on!
The location is excellent. Horses aplenty, they walk and graze right at/near your camp, and they are very friendly. The camp is very clean and very private with plenty of space (like a couple full cleared acres to ourselves). The ranch is minutes from a well-stocked store with food, ice, and other supplies. We forgot some things and were happy it wasn’t a long drive to fix my mistake.
Ashley was very helpful and courteous. Helped us get settled and answered my many questions.
We will 100% be rebooking many times in the future. This is our new go-to place in north Florida.
Ashley and Cole’s property is unreal. We were greeted by horses when we arrived and there were horses around us our entire stay. We have a 36 foot fifth wheel and the site Ashley guided us to was perfect. We were right by the water, had horses eating outside our camper each morning when we woke up and we were close to trails and the pasture for some evening walks.
The owners don’t live on the property but are very quick to respond if you need anything.
A few tips:
- must like horses and not care about horse poop everywhere. There is no smell but just remember to pack proper shoes and remember you’re at a horse farm so you’re living in their world.
- wake up early and check out the mist on the lake!
Jump in a kayak! They have plenty you can use.
- you can hear the interstate but it’s like white noise
- people do come in and out of the horse ranch because they board their horses there. Don’t be alarmed if you feel like a car is creeping by - we learned that it’s probably an owner just trying to get its horse to follow it so they can feed it haha
- we didn’t see anything to be worried about during our stay but was told to be mindful of water moccasins in the lake and poison ivy while on trails.
- my 6 yr old and I played in the water near the “beach” and had a great time. We chilled when the horses came for a drink but otherwise had the water to ourselves.
- take pictures in the pasture for sunset!
Free range horses means poop at your doorstep, would be nice if the poop wasn’t all over the campsite. The road was very loud and is so close the camper would shake at times. Perhaps we could have chosen a campsite a little further from the road but we were only offered 2 sites and not 3, the other offered had too many ruts to pull the camper into. The cost of $55 per night should be brought way down considering.
Not exactly “peace and quiet “
The site was nice and private, everything about the site itself was fine. The problem is the sites are with 500 yards of I-95.
Extremely noisily all nite , never seem to let up.
Sounded like being next to a train. As they say, location is everything,.
Perfect private getaway
The horse farm was a great place for our family to stay! The owners and horses were all very friendly. The site itself was private, yet open and there was plenty of space for our dog, our one year old, and our almost-three year old to roam and explore. We loved how curious the horses were, the miniature horses even tried to join us for lunch one day! We felt very welcomed by the hosts and we will definitely be going back and recommending this spot to anyone coming to the area.
We were a group of 5 who wanted a weekend getaway to St. Augustine. The place is great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was less than 30 mins to historic downtown so good location too! Their horses are wonderful and it was so special to witness them so free. Would highly recommend!
My family and I had a wonderful time staying on Ashley’s property, at site 2. The horses were curious and friendly, but kept their distance once we built a fire. The site was conveniently located to the historic district of St. Augustine (15 minute drive), although we were able to hear the highway. Sites 1 and 3 are further from the highway and may be quieter. Ashley was very communicative and helpful and kept the site well maintained with firewood, a compostable toilet, and a camping shower all set up and easily accessible. We had a great time and would recommend to others.
