Off grid homestead to me means being self contained with no wires or pipes to the outside. Boondockers and other off grid camping are welcome and small solar setups are available to see and learn. Water is clean from well, common area bathhouse has flush toilet, large outdoor sink, and huge open air shower with hot water on demand. This spot is big, flat, and partly shaded.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were far better than I expected off the grid (shower is huge, plenty of hot water). Site was level and clean. A great experience for my first Hipcamp!

Thank you for being our first hipcamp guest also! And for spending Christmas with us and friends at the fire!

Very cool, laid back and quiet. The shower is large and the hot water feels great after a long day. Matt is a very good hearted person who goes out of his way to accommodate his guests. There is a shared firepit with tunes and a grill as well.

Our stay with Matt was totally perfect! When we arrived, Matt already had the gate open for us and we were able to easily pull in with our 21 ft self-contained camper. There were multiple locations for us to park, and we chose a spot close to the beautiful large live oak tree. Matt has impressive knowledge about off grid living, and we loved learning about his awesome solar setup. There are some incredibly awesome amenities for campers, such as a bathhouse with a toilet and shower, an open air kitchen for campers to use, and a bluetooth stereo to connect your tunes to. In the evening we enjoyed chatting around the fire with Matt and his parents who were there during our stay. Matt gave us a tour of some of the projects he’s been working on and the in-and-outs of solar power setups and off-grid living. We would definitely recommend this as a relaxing and unique camping adventure.
