This was my first time booking through HipCamp. Erick was very responsive, warm, and helpful. The site itself was private, pretty, rustic, and spacious. We got a campfire going, bugs weren't as bad as I expected, and the morning sunrise was beautiful! We walked to the ocean from here, which definitely was at least a couple miles (not a mile, as the description stated). We actually really enjoyed our walk, but it was much farther than expected. There was a small local stand on the way up the road selling fresh fruit, and we got some delicious mangos.
The path going through the gate to the site was brushy and very overgrown, with a tight turn that would probably be tough for a larger R.V., but it was okay for my mini short bus camper. There was quite a bit of dumping/garbage on the road leading in, which was an eyesore and a little strange, but the site itself was tidy enough and quite cozy. It was a nice spot overall. Thanks Erick!

This was a hidden gem! Planned a last minute trip and this was the best camping spot we could have found even with more planning. We had our pup and he loved it as well. The site was very private and close to the Everglades.

The site is tranquil, but needs a little tlc to make it more accessible and comfortable, especially for multiple hipcampers.

Pretty straight forward spot. There’s a locked gate that you need to call for the combo. Answered right away. Be prepared for bugs (this is a Florida thing though, not directly for this site) A couple showed up late at night unprepared and ended up leaving after a couple hours. There aren’t designated spots so it’s a little tricky with multiple campers. Great spot for the price when the Florida keys are all booked up.
