About The Jo Jo Cabin
Welcome to Epona Place... come fall in love again under the stars! We are a small privately funded horse rescue with magical unicorns wandering around! The jojo cabin is located towards the back of the property near the barn and suitable for 2 people. The cabin has a queen size bed, A/C, mini fridge and a small table with chairs. There's a bbq and a fire pit for your convenience. The rainforest shower is outside made of bamboo with lots of privacy and large enough for 2! There is also an enclosed full bathroom out by the barn. We offer Fantasy Photoshoots with costumes and Unicorns for you to cherish for $100. If your an experienced rider trailriding is an option. We offer guided kayak and paddle board trips to swim with the manatees .It's a 15 minute drive to Crystal River or Rainbow River. Rainbow river is about 20 minutes away a great place to tube and see a natural spring head! We are close to hiking trails and ancient burial grounds!
For an experienced equestrian, I offer trail rides on a Paso fino or Tenn. Walker. Sunrise sunset or even moonlit rides depending on the heat. If you have no experience, Smiling and joking.... I do have one horse without experience your welcome to see how that goes! For the rescues that don't ride they offer fabulous unicorn encounters with plenty of costumes! My rates are so reasonable for photos and it helps one horse at a time well actually 4 now !
Were out in the country unplugged to enjoy the stars, lightning bugs and the person your with! No TV's or internet. For the creative souls I have an art station set up with paper, pastels, water colors. There's a nice area for yoga in the back and if you insist i can set up a PYLO work out for you!

The vibe at The Jo Jo Cabin
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Though we only saw her for a short time Renee was very nice and stayed up late to give us a tour of the property . The cabin itself is roughly 50 yards from the main house where the shared restroom and outdoor shower are located. In between the cabin and the main house there is also a shared fire pit and grill. Though the other rooms available for rent on Airbnb seemed very nice and tidy the shared amenities were in a bit of disarray. There was an odd mannequin that greeted you at the front door and a back door that was falling off the hinges. The window as well as the door to the cabin did not shut all the way which left a rather sizeable gap, so we spent the first 10 minutes chasing lizards out of the room. Other than that the cabin was not bad, just don't expect luxury. There is a bug net over the bed which tends to drape down on top of you and get tangled in the sheets so we opted out of using it.
On top of horses there are also chickens and roosters, dog and cats. We wouldn't necessarily recommend it to the camping community for a quiet weekend away, which is what we were looking for. The shared use of many of the amenities makes it feel more like a hostel especially if there are other people staying there. It seems to make more sense as an Airbnb stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Jo Jo Cabin! Some of the property highlights were the horses and the outdoor shower! We'd recommend bug spray just in case, but didn't experience any major bug issues. The cabin A/C is a lifesaver during the warmer hours of the day and the bed is spacious and comfy.
