Caceres Organic Blueberry & Turmeric Farms is nestled in the heart of the Suwannee River Water Basin, home to some some of the most beautiful freshwater springs in the world. We have been a WWOOF host since 2011. Over 500 organic volunteers from around the world have lived and worked at the farm so we are used to creating an atmosphere of community and sustainable living.  We have cleared tent camping lots for Hip Campers in front of the on-property lake with easy access to swimming and fishing. There are two solar shower stalls with hot water powered by the sun. It is specifically built to overlook the main blueberry field and peach grove. Stunning views at sunset. An outhouse / composting toilet is currently under construction with the rain water collection system now complete. In the meantime a portable toilet is provided.  A potable water station is available and built from re-purposed materials and wood harvested locally.

We are a working farm. We supply every Lucky's Market location with fresh turmeric and a host of other stores with our blueberries. We also have an active u-pick program during the blueberry and peach harvests (late March to early June) that is available to Hip Campers.

There are multiple springs within 30 miles in various directions - some of them of First Magnitude volume. Ichetucknee Springs offers excellent river rafting. Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Manatee Springs and Fanning Springs consistently offer up close sightings of Manatees without the crowds of Crystal River. There is also a boat launch on the Suwannee River just minutes from the farm for boating, skiing and fishing. Bob's River Place is minutes away.

The Gulf of Mexico is just 40 miles away. Scalloping season begins June 15 this year and runs to September. Oyster season lasts all winter. The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is 50 miles away and hosts several large music festivals from Spring to Fall including Hullaween on October 23-25.

Super friendly site host! Owner was friendly and receptive and the site host guided us around the entire property after letting us arrive at almost 10pm. Outdoor showers were amazing. Compost toilets weren't up and running yet, so they gave us 24/7 access to the house to use the facilities. Wish I could have stayed longer. 😊

This 5 night stay was fantastic! Richard has gone above and beyond to create a great tent camp on his farm. We stayed at Tent Site 1 which was close to the pond and trees to hang our hammocks. My fave was the spring-fed, solar-heated outdoor showers; a true camping luxury. My kids loved picking blueberries after dinner each night, swimming, and playing fetch with Brock the farm dog. Amenities on site exceeded my expectations. Note to parents: The grass lanes are well maintained and easy to bike on. However any step off that has serious cactus growth that was a harsh learning curve for my 4yo who had trouble recognizing the boundaries. Does not deter from the amazing stay, but worth a mention if children are too young to identify safe areas to walk. And pack appropriate footwear.

It was so peaceful here. We highly enjoyed the view, the volunteers and the dogs! My dog enjoyed it just as much as we did! Will be coming back and recommending to our friends.

AMAZING blueberries and Richard is such a friendly and welcoming host. We felt right at home and our puppy had tons of fun with Richard’s dogs. The farm is beautiful and the blueberries are truly excellent. We would definitely go back!

Great spot to stay! Beautiful campsite open to east and west to catch sunrise and sunset! Lake is fun to swim in and site is close to lots of other water connections. Richard is a great host and has great recommendations for activities around town.

The campsite was beautiful and very peaceful. There isn’t a bad location in any of the sites, but the lakeside one was my personal favorite. The dogs were great company, but they think they are sneaky and will try to steal your sticks. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely return. Richard was a very kind and accommodating host.
