This was our first official Hipcamp reservation and we did not know what to expect. The price was great and the property was on Hipcamp, so we decided, why not? We arrived early afternoon and were greeted by the owners, given a few choices of spots and a quick lay of the land. The property is on a beautiful river and is very quiet and serene. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a tranquil location this is the place.
There is a shower and bathroom but no hookups. Perfect for dry campers and tenting.
The pictures should help show the beauty of the location.
The hosts were very nice.
Debby was such a great landlord and we will definitely go back there soon. She brought us everything we need, without even asked her. The place is peaceful, green and close to nature life. There are options to rent a boat and kayak. Wonderful place! Thank you!
Can't say enough good things about this place. Exceeded our expectations by quite a margin. Great people, amazing views. Beautiful campsite on a private little peninsula on the Withlacoochee River. We tent camped and loved it! We absolutely can not wait to return with a canoe and we look forward to spending many future weekends out there. Steve and Debora were wonderful hosts. The nature was up close and very pretty. Wonderfully beautiful piece of classic inland Florida.
This place is amazing! Camping in front of the river was incredible. It was a really nice experience being that close to nature for a very reasonable price. Steve and Deb are great hosts. They treated us very well and made sure that we felt comfortable. We highly recommend this place to people who want a perfect primitive camping experience.
Very laidback place to enjoy. If you love to camp and fish, this is the great place to relax and catch dinner. This is real camp and not posh. If you are expecting everything groomed like disney, you will want to pass. This is real Florida at it’s finest. The hosts Debora and Charlie are great and they have a passion for providing a real Florida experience for their guests. We enjoyed our stay and will return.
It was a very cool spot if you are looking to the river and get the peninsula area or right by the dock ..I suggest setting up to face the river with your tent behind you for buffer if looking for more seclusion...Behind you in medium distance is a bunch of trailers with stuff all over . We heard a couple fighting one of the nights from one of the trailers .. The host guy was very cool we liked him a lot. The cat .. LOVED the cat that hangs around. We pitched tents and brought kayaks .. we LOVED the little kayak trails and waterways .. we saw ALOT of gators .. DID NOT CATCH ONE SINGLE FISH !! It was fun for the kids they ask to go back all the time ! The huge tree was AWESOME! Great spot if you have a little boat or kayak and want to explore really neat areas on the water !

Camping lot assigned to us was not large enough to fit a two-person tent after I requested a lot for two two-person tents. Lots were also right next to one another so we were constantly in view and within earshot of almost all the campers in the campground even though the property was listed as dispersed and semi-private. Pictures also do not accurately show the campground.
