Description

Elliott Key Group Campground is the only place in all of Biscayne National Park that takes advance reservations. In fact, they’re required, and you have to pick up the telephone to make one (call 786-335-3609.) The group site is located on the ocean side of the island, about 1/3 of a mile from the harbor. It has picnic tables and barbeque grills, as well as the park’s lone fire ring, giving it the distinction of being the only place in Biscayne National Park where an open ground fire is permitted. (Happy campers! Less mosquitos!) Unlike Boca Chita Key, this island has showers, sinks, and drinking water---but it’s recommended you still bring your own, in case the generator breaks. Come prepared with everything you may need for your days in paradise. There are no sales of any kind on the island.
