Explore 11+ acres of rustic and untamed woods. We are two military veteran families who enjoy the land as a place for family and friends to explore, camp, and relax at the 250+ feet of the East Bay beach. Primitive camping is permitted at designated wooded high grounds in the middle of the property. It is a 5 and 10-minute rugged hike in to the middle ground and waterfront, respectively. The trail remains under development, so please bring close-toed shoes or boots for hiking throughout the property (depending on rainfall, there may be mud and water). Our Glamper is a 10x12 canvas furnished tent located a short but rugged 2-minute hike from parking. It provides the opportunity to go camping without having to pack all the gear. Our location is minutes from the Emerald Coast - 7 mins to Navarre Beach, - 30 mins to Pensacola Beach, - 15 mins to Naval Live Oaks, - 45 mins to Fort Pickens, - 50 mins to NAS Pensacola, - 45 mins to Santa Rosa Island, - 35 mins to Okaloosa Island, - 40 mins to Destin. Recommended local restaurants: St. Michael's Brewery which has rotating food trucks and is family friendly, Ye Olde Brothers Brewery, Dewey Destin’s, Windjammers, TC’s Front Porch, Deb’s Coffee, The Eatery food truck park, Top’s Burgers, and New York Pizza Depot. Other sightseeing in the area includes: Museums: National Naval Aviation Museum, Air Force Armament Museum, Fort Pickens, Indian Temple Mound Museum, Pensacola Museum of Art, Museum of Industry, and Destin History & Fishing Museum Additional activities include: Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, HH Arts Gallery, Emerald Coast Science Center, Gulf Breeze Zoo, and Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park.

The Glamper 2 at Bay Forest
Already booking next trip here!!!
We booked a last min get away and we were not disappointed. We arrived at the campground in the late afternoon. We were prompted to park in the front and walk down the little trail to our campground. We did take a wagon with us to transport our stuff back to the actual camp site. The wagon helped with our belongings, but we def had to manhandle the wagon a few times to get it across certain areas. We also anticipated this after reading the reviews. We will still take a wagon again when we go back! On the way back to the camp site we passed by the outdoor garden shower, which we used once, and we passed by the porta potty as well. The porta potty was VERY clean, which we were pleasantly happy with, but we recommended brining extra TP! We got back to our site and although someone had accidentally taken our spot at camp site 1, we ended up being happier with the glamping site 2, as it provided more space, privacy and was closer to the water! There was plenty of wood around the campsite that they allow you to gather a burn. The tent was very clean, the bed was decently comfortable and it was spacious. We walked down to the water, which is not a bad walk at all, when you think your gettin deep into the walk, you’re pretty much there, so don’t give up!!! When you get down to the water, there is a little beach, picnic table and a few kayaks. We took the kayaks out and it was beautiful and dolphins swam so close to us, it was amazing! Hands down loved this little gem!!!!!

Bay Forest Primitive Retreat
Very clean and easy to find campsites. Nice little tucked away spot within Navarre and still being close to tons of amenities.

The Glamper at Bay Forest
It was exactly what’s described! The pictures were spot on. It’s close enough to civilization that my sister and I felt comfortable for not being very avid campers. Everything was super clean. We will definitely stay here again.

The Glamper 2 at Bay Forest
My boyfriend and I are college kids that came here on spring break, and absolutely loved the tent and campsite. Amazing cost for everything offered! Tent was clean and cozy! Would recommend getting there with some daylight left, as we didn’t think of that aspect and struggled to find the tent! Very clear and helpful directions as well! Would definitely stay here again!

The Glamper at Bay Forest
This camp site was so organized, cozy, and safe. We could not recommend a better place to stay for a nature getaway near the beach. It was secluded enough and provided everything and more we needed for a wholesome time:)! Thanks for the directions, games, clean camp site, and generosity. Can’t wait to come back!
