Nestled here inside the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park lies a beautiful little chunk of land and sea, called the Fort Pierce Outdoor Center. We are primarily a kayak and SUP rental and tour company, but we’ve decided not to keep this place a secret anymore and are now open for camping! Pitch your tent anywhere you want within our property, and enjoy watching the sun set over the Indian River as the price of camping already includes a sunset paddle tour (we can also arrange a sunrise tour for you early birds out there). Amazing! A local hot spot for surfers and families alike, we really offer something for everyone.
Our space is communal, with regular business hours from 10-6, so expect to make friends around the campfire or out on the water. Guests have full access to our facilities- shower, running water, composting toilet. Bonfires are possible, but only after a staff member checks the local fire bans.

My friends and I had a great stay here! First of all, you're at a state park, which has many benefits already. The ocean is a short hike, if you'd like to surf/etc. There are walkways and trails everywhere. The entire place is covered in mangroves, which are just cool.
At this site specifically, there was plenty of room to set up multiple tents. We had a 4 person tent, a backpacking tent, and a hammock set up, with tons of room to spare. They also have a huge fire pit, grill area, an enclosed bathroom, and 2 showers.
Also, being a water craft rental facility, there's no need to bring your own kayak/SUP. Being on the water, you can also fish for dinner (which we did).
I'd definitely highly recommend! Just use common sense and bring some bug spray, since it's Florida and waterfront.
A fair sized campsite. Lots of room for tents and a huge bonfire area. 3 grills from what I could see. Right next to the inlet/ 5 minute drive to the beach. Paddle boarding/kayaking was amazing. Went kayaking twice, (late afternoon and sunset) and went paddle boarding on the ocean.
Great fishing spots. Person we were with caught a shark and cooked it for us. Water spout/showers/outhouse available.
Would go again!
