The Hideout is located in the Uwharrie National Forest . 10,000 years ago inhabitants were the Uwharrie Indian Tribe. The area was mined for gold before the California Gold Rush. There are 50 old mines within 15 miles. The 10 acres is what's left of an old homestead and there are many interesting trails around the property to be explored including the creek and river
