2000 Acre Wood at Jeffers Farms in Pennsylvania

Host Jennifer Greenwood says:

Jeffers Farm began more than 180 years ago. In 1822, Nathaniel Jeffers, a Revolutionary War Soldier, purchased a 320 acre parcel in northeast Pennsylvania's Susquehanna County. Over time the farm has expanded to encompass more than 2,100 acres surrounding the original homestead.

In 1929, Henry Jeffers Sr. planted the first conifer trees on the farm. By 1942, 12,000 Christmas trees were harvested. Today the business has expanded into a year round operation where careful stewardship is applied each season to ensure the production of exceptional evergreen trees.
