Johnson Family Farm in Idaho

Host Steve Johnson says:

The Johnson Family Farm had its beginnings in 1957 when Roy and Helen Johnson purchased these 80 acres for $3,750 (a hefty sum at the time). To help make payments on the mortgage, Dad and his two eldest sons did some logging using a 1938 Ford flatbed truck that is still with us today. The Johnsons had four sons, all raised in the Old House that was originally a company kitchen for Humbird Lumber workers in the early 1900s. Three generations of the Johnson family currently call The Farm home, along with a few other residents all pitching in to help this special place grow. This working farm & ranch is also home to cows, horses, bunnies, chickens, dogs, and some surly cats.
