Host Thomas Sherer says:
Our sylvan setting at the confluence of Snail and Sugar Creeks has been operated by our family as a place of solitude, river fishing and canoeing for over 100 years*. In the mid-1800s, it was home to a stagecoach station on the Cincinnati-Indianapolis line. (Yes, stagecoaches in Indiana - how do you think people got around before railroads?) During WWII our Camp provided R&R for soldiers, sailors and aviators stationed at the numerous bases and training facilities in Indianapolis and SoCent Indiana.
