Description

Once upon a time, the area that is now Bottle Creek’s campground was home to the site of a Civilian Conservation Corps (affectionately known as the CCC) camp. These days, there isn’t a whole lot of civilian work being done at camp — and that’s the beauty of it! Come and enjoy Wyoming’s beautiful Medicine Bow National Forest at this well-shaded campground, set in a mixed forest of conifers and aspens. Day hikes to Green Mountain Falls and along the Encampment River trails are popular pastimes, and the view from the Memorial Overlook (inside the campground) seriously can’t be missed.
