Cabin with a view
This cabin was phenomenal! Great views, wonderful hospitality from Chas and his wife, beautiful spot to have a serene weekend away. Absolutely enjoyed my stay and will be back the next time I need a getaway
Cozy, beautiful cabin!
Beautiful little cabin!!! The gas powered fire-pit was a really nice touch. The cabin was easy to find and it’s a perfect size for 1-2 person. It can get a bit windy so definitely bring a warm jacket with you. Chas was an amazing and friendly host. I’ve got everything I need inside the cabin too: USB ports for charging, water for coffee, extra blanket , and a buddy heater that works surprisingly well. 15/10 would recommend!
Tiny, thoughtful, timeless
Chas has created a magical place full of wonderful, incredibly thoughtful touches. The tiny cabin was immaculate on our arrival with stocked propane, water, coffee, tea, games, charging stations, and even crayons, coloring books, and a puzzle he brought special after I let him know my 4 year old son and I were spending the weekend.
The site is secluded, peaceful, and just a few miles from Vendawoo. We had a blast exploring the grounds and spending quality time in what my son calls the cabin-et. We cannot wait to get back.
Chas and the cabin were absolutely wonderful! Chas was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire stay. The cabin was so adorable and had everything I needed and more. It was a comfortable and peaceful stay with some stunning views. It was hard to leave and I can’t wait to come back!
Warm stay on a windy night
Chas' cabin was a great find on our road trip-- tucked away just far enough from the the noise of traffic and on private property so we felt ok leaving our bikes on the car for the night. The winds gusts were 40-60mph during our stay so we didn't get to enjoy the propane fire table outside but we did stay cozy and warm with the marine cabin heater and our camping bedding. The moonlight lit up the landscape and we got up in time to catch the sunrise (which you can kinda see from the futon through the side window). Hope to visit again when we have time to explore Vedauwoo.
The perfect getaway
Great spot with a GREAT host. I wasn't sure what to expect but this definitely exceeded all my expectations. Chas was a super welcoming host and took the time to show me a few things around camp. I was lucky enough to spot some deer and moose during my one night. Chas actually sent me a text to let me know the moose were headed my direction. Wonderful spot and would highly recommend
This is one of the best HipCamps we have ever stayed at! Beautiful setting and close to the highway, which made it an easy stop on a XC trip. Chas clearly thought of every detail when designing this cabin. You will have everything you need, including chargers, drinking water, and coffee. We wish we could have stayed longer!
