Rosa was so kind & helpful, if you have a good off-roading vehicle or like hiking she recommended camping on top of a big hill and we had the most beautiful views and it was so secluded. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves camping and beautiful views!
We lucked out. We texted Britt before we got there asking if there was a place for dinner and she said that her husband and she were working at the Cowboy Bar & Outlaw Cafe
that very moment. So we went there first and had the best steak we've ever had. And we got to meet our great Hipcamp hosts in person. Sadly, we weren't able to go to Randol's Southern Pit BBQ, our hosts' restaurant which wasn't open when we were in town (it's only open on Sunday and Monday, I think).
Then we drove to the site. It's a beautiful place. It IS an actual cow pasture, so there will be cow pats all around. You won't want to plan a rugby game or anything. The cows were very curious about us and very cute. In the morning they were all gathered around checking us out. That was an especially good added benefit for city dwellers.
