#4wd blog recommended 😎
Great campsite for traveling through WY to CO for the night. I would recommend staying in one of the sites at the entrance in the rock formations for shelter from the wind.
Love the stars from their property!
This was the second time we have camped on Robert and Elyse’s land and both times have been amazing! The campsites are always clean, picked up firewood right when we drove up and the stars were amazing!
Labor day ‘22
Spot #1 is our fave! We look forward to camping there a couple times a year! So spacious, lots to explore. Even bought a watermelon this year and it was fantastic! Thank you, Robert & Elyse!!
Very beautiful area! Camp sites are fairly close to eachother so this isn’t the spot if you’re trying to be loud. We really enjoyed the stay, roaming cows and beautiful scenery.
Would stay again and recommend to friends!
Love this place
This is our third time staying at Robert and Elyse’s - and we love it! The land is always beautiful and well kept, and Robert and Elyse couldn’t be more kind. Can’t wait to come back!
Beautiful property and great hosts!
We love coming out to Camp Rendezvous! The campsites are well maintained and spaced nicely apart. Port-a-potties are placed within walking distance of your site and well maintained. We always enjoy exploring the property for other sites to try. Robert and Elyse are great hosts and full of information about the area. We've spotted deer and pronghorns on the property during our stays. There are many outcroppings of rose quartz on the property as well. Don't forget to stop and buy some of the fresh vegetables from their farmer's market on the way in or out!
Enjoy our photos!
Quiet, spacious, but wyoming...
Open space everywhere. As many reviewers have said, the campsites are nice, spaced well, quiet and with solitude. Previous reviews were correct, porta potties were some of the best Ive ever encountered, and there's at least one walkable (close) per grouping. We checked out all the sites and we're quite satisfied with Site #6.
However... Despite the slight shelter provided by the rocks, and multiple tarps and tents, you MUST remember that it's Wyoming highlands... Wind, rain, and stormy conditions can happen at any moment in the summer. And despite our best efforts, we made a choice to bail 2 days early.
For $50 a night you're guaranteed a private spot, with no crowds and very minor noise from the highway. You don't have to panic find a spot or deal with noisy neighbors. The bathrooms are clean, there are goods on site (firewood, ice, evens some awesome fire color fun) and the people are extremely helpful and nice. Elyse was quickly available when needed by text and I had cell reception the entire time (ATT).
Things that would make it better:
For $50 a night a main dumpster for trash would be nice. Even cheaper public camp grounds have that and while I totally get "pack it in, pack it out". It would have been nice to have somewhere to drop the out with a multi night stay. And while the weather is completely out of their control, it is something to be aware of as a tent camper. If we would have had a trailer, we likely would have lasted the whole time.
