I've stayed at many airbnbs but this my first time using Hipcamp so I wasn't sure what to expect. My family traveled to the cabin from Seattle (visiting Yellowstone) and arrived later than we had planned. Rod, the host, called to make sure we weren't lost which was super appreciated, and we were greeted with a pre-heated cabin. The cabin is large, clean, and stocked with all of the essentials of a hotel (and more)! It has big windows, bear spray!, washer & dryer, gas stove and a large open field where our dog was able to run offleash.

We ran into some vehicle problems and had no way of getting from the autoshop to the nearest car rental place located at the airport in Cody. Note: there are no ubers or taxis in the area*. Feeling helpless, we remembered Rod's offer for his assistance if we needed anything. We called him and he so graciously picked us up in town and took us to the airport to pick up our rental car. He even waited outside to make sure we successfully got the car.

Rod is one of the kindest, sincere, and down to earth people that we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We cannot wait to return one day and check out his other cabin. Thanks for your hospitality Rod!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and we loved playing with Ricky, the farm dog. The cabin is a great place for a quite, unplugged get away.

We arrived a little late in the dark but Rod called to check in and make sure we weren’t lost which was very nice. The cabin was cute and spacious. We didn’t spend a whole lot of time there but the sunrise and sunset both days was so beautiful! Its was also fun to wake up and see cows in the pasture while the sun came up over the mountains. The location was great!

View from the living room.
