A cowboy range teepee is square bottom teepee stacked to the ground and supported buy outside poles. Cowboys liked because they were quick to set up and easy to take down, but the Big plus was there ability to withstand mother nature's fury. Just right for Two (2) people and no more. This place is the coolest! My son and I loved how he had the place feel like a village. You feel very protected but adventurous. The breakfast was so delicious. Also it was a great way to meet the other guests and trade stories. I loved everything g about this place. I will definitely love to come back.
A perfect place to get some rest and relaxation. Beautiful scenery and amazing hosts!
This was a great stay for us. A wonderful combination of tent camping with some comfort amenities. The landscape is gorgeous and hosts are amazing. The morning breakfast provided (best pancakes and local pork sausage ever) was also an amazing experience to socialize and meet the hosts and fellow campers. I would definitely stay here again.
Such a beautiful spot. The hosts were amazing people and the many hammocks, communal fire pit, and the teepees were get. In summer, be prepared for lots of big grasshoppers who may join you in your tent! The shower was like home- great water pressure, so we felt really clean afterwards, unlike with most camp showers :-)
The shower tent itself needs attention. Zipper doesn’t work, there’s a good bit of mold on the tent walls, and the wind blows the flaps open while you’re showering. My son sat at the entrance to the shower area to prevent anyone from approaching the tent.
Hooks for towels and clothes would have been very helpful, since the only surface to put things on is feet from the shower, so everything gets wet. Actually, a separate area to keep towel and dry clothes to change into after the shower would be awesome. Trying to dry and dress in the same space that you just soaked with your shower is challenging. The tent hadn’t been cleaned in some time, either. The lack of trash receptacle meant that, unfortunately, people just left their empty and half-used toiletry containers strewn about.
I would absolutely stay here again because the peace and beauty of the camp is just wonderful, and the hosts are as nice as they come.
Nothing beats a free pancake breakfast in the morning. The host (Rod) wasn’t actually there during our stay but the two guys helping run it while Rod was away were so hospitable and nice—their dog was so sweet and fun to play with too. Very knowledgeable about the area of Cody. Overall a wonderful stay, always so accommodating and constantly willing to help make your stay better. We went up to Yellowstone during our stay, the location is pretty far from most of the main attractions and hiking in Yellowstone but we made it work! Having a hot shower was wonderful too.
The place was beautiful! The teepee were perfect and safe! We met people from all over. Everyone followed the covid guidelines! It was super close to town and Yellowstone. You must shower in the teepee! It’s a must and amazing !
