Big Quiet Tent Camping

Wonderful place to stay! I loved sharing a good conversation with camp hosts and other campers over a plate of pancakes every morning! Would stay again!!

This has been my best HipCamp experience yet! The campground has plenty of fun shelter options, hot showers, drinking water, and very nice toilets. Plus, everyone I’ve met here is super friendly and welcoming. Rod is a great host and all good guy! I was planning on staying only a night here, but it ended up being four. Plenty to see and do around here as well or just a great place to relax. Sad that I have to leave!

Absolutely amazing. The best stop in our trip across the country. Ann and Mickey are absolutely great (and so is Riki - the cute dog who ants to play thug of war with everyone). Truly quiet, but feels safe. A great place to enjoy the big blue sky and see some BOMB stars.

Rod and his crew were super hospitable. I came in after dark and as a solo female travel was a bit nervous and on guard. I called Rod before I showed up and told him I would be coming in late. He said since nobody was at the grounds I didn’t need to worry about disturbing anyone. I asked him if I would be safe with the nearby wild life (bears especially) and he said I had nothing to worry about because bears only come around in the spring. He made me feel extra welcome by offering to let me stay in one of the teepees already set up instead of setting up my own tent after dark. The next morning I had breakfast and a hot shower waiting on me. I was extremely Grateful I chose to stay at big quest camping. One thing the note! Their sign says Big Quiet Farmstay. Not big quiet camping when you pull in at the road.

So I never actually met Rod cuz I was on the road most of my trip. However my bro and nephew sing his praises and were big fans! Real kind and they connected over many things and the breakfast, something I also didn’t get to enjoy, was fantastic according to my fam. They extended their stay they loved it so much!

Amazing place to stay! Beautiful views and a great home base for exploring Yellowstone. Rod gave us a great route to follow into the park. He also was great conversation while eating breakfast (pancakes, sausage and coffee!). Super friendly hosts and staff!

Amenities were great too. The shower was great and the bathroom was very clean!

This place is wonderful! The views of the mountain are breathtaking. The bathrooms were stocked and maintained.. the shower was spacious and had plenty of warm water. There is a large fire ring and firewood available. There is also a nice outdoor kitchen area that had a small electric hook up. We decided to pitch a tent and there were plenty of nice spots to choose from. It’s also close to Cody in case you forget anything. Lastly, the hosts are all very helpful and friendly and serve up some huge pancakes every morning. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Definitely a place i would like to stay again in the future. Loved their tent and tepees with the cot and a sleeping bag. I have a tent and a sleeping bag with us since we stayed at another camp site. Ricky the dog is the best! Very friendly to everyone including the staff, Mickey and Ann. It's a very safe place to stay at. My family stayed there for 6 nights. Try to avoid travelling at night time if you can due to animals and slow down if you have no choice.

The teepee did not close all the way so we battled insects all night. It also was mildewed and smelled horrible inside of it. On the up side, breakfast is served in the morning for all of the campers which I thought was nice and there is a hot communal shower which wasn’t bad.
