Welcome to "Griff Run" - our 13-acre organic hobby farm situated in a private valley in SW Wisconsin. Our well-maintained Starcraft camper is perfectly situated creekside. One of only two campsites on the farm, this site is adjacent to our resident alpacas with parking only 50 yards from the campsite and solid Wifi fed by fiber optics. The camper sleeps four...and there is enough room to pitch a tent or two for extra guests. Steal away from reality at Griff Run - approximately 15 minutes to Richland Center and 25 minutes to Viroqua.
Griff Run has been rated a 5-star accommodation for travelers for several years. In 2020, we expanded our offerings by adding camping. The Starcraft is equipped with nearly everything you need for camping and firewood is available for purchase on the farm. Please note that our sites are listed as "not suitable for children" under 12 due to country road hazards, electric fence, gated pastures, etc.
New in 2021, we have built an outdoor hot-water shower for our guests - near the red barn. A well-maintained porta potty and wash sink for guests of the Starcraft site are also near the camper. This potty is serviced after each reservation. Potable water is also available at a spigot near the barn.
Guests can also find a charging station near the potties. We haven't had any issues with theft at the farm to date, but you leave your devices charging there at your own risk.

Wonderful stay at the starcraft!
This is a wonderful little farm! Beautiful and peaceful. We arrived later than expected, but communication via text with Shawna was great! The Starcraft camper was all set for us as well as the campfire area. They left us eggs and tomatoes, as well as grain for the alpaca. The alpaca were so awesome! Very friendly and curious but also like “okay, I’m done with you”. Lol! We met the family’s 3 dogs as well. Super friendly. Also met the chickens and turkeys. We explored the root cellar and had a good laugh at the funny signs near the farm house and out on the road near the other campsite :-). Ver relaxing place. The camper was soooo cute and we stayed nice and warm at night. Had plenty of utensils, coffee, tea, cleaning supplies, wood, etc so felt all set for having a lovely camping experience. I definitely recommend staying here!
A quiet, kind, immaculate retreat!
Immaculately kept camper and facilities! Everything you need from firewood to cookery. We found the alpacas, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, and greenery quite enchanting! The location is a short drive to some great hikes if you want to get into the woods and hills. Shawna and her crew were excellent hosts. Easy going yet attentive to anything we asked for. We look forward to visiting again.
Beautiful property and location in Wisconsin, great area for stargazing and cruising windy country roads dreaming of being a farmer. The alpacas are a joy and the hosts are are super kind and friendly. I will recommend this place to friends for sure. We stayed in the pop up camper but the rustic campsite up the way is also beautiful, along the creek with a willow tree. The pop up camper has everything you need in terms of utensils, and the hosts were so sweet to leave some fresh eggs and coffee. Thank you!
The gold standard for glamping!
This experience far exceeded any hopes I had for an enjoyable glamping weekend. The site is located on a little slice of heaven in what I believe is one of the most beautiful regions of Wisconsin (driftless). I was fortunate to be there as the fall colors were peaking and I swear I could see them change over the course of the weekend. Communicating with Shawna leading up to my trip was effortless and reassuring as I was traveling alone and ended up arriving to the farm at dusk. The camper was outfitted with every creature comfort I could have possibly needed and immaculately clean. The luxury of an electric coffee maker eased me into my joyful mornings spent there. I awoke the first day to hear “someone” walking around right outside the camper. I opened the window from my bed to see four lovely alpacas on the other side of the fence quietly meandering while grazing for their breakfast. I grabbed the grain jar that Shawna left inside the camper and in no time I had these gals eating out of my hand - no llama drama whatsoever - they were gentle and shy (and somewhat aloof) but that grain jar sure got their attention! I can’t wait to go back to this little piece of heaven!
