River to Ridge Farmstead

I was a little nervous to drive right onto the field but once i got the confirmation we drove out to the pretty campsite and had a wonderful time. we got water from the hose down by the house and enjoyed a pretty sunset.

Susan's farm was peaceful and quiet with a beautiful view of the Chippewa River. One day we hiked the Chippewa moraine section of the ice age trail and stopped at the Moonridge brew pub in Cornell. The other day we hiked at Brunet State park. The horses in the pasture were a nice background to our campfires. Very relaxing.

I had an epic camp spot up in the hay field overlooking the river. Spent the night up there with a fire, did yoga on the doc of the river, walked the beautiful country roads. Susan is an incredibly attentive host and so fun to chat with.

Beautiful spot with lovely views. Great spot for kids and dogs to run around. Susan was out of town when we were there, but she gave us a kind welcome over the phone and said we could pick some veggies from her garden (which the kids loved). It was a great stay.

The property was amazing. Great views and the host, Susan, was beyond welcoming and helpful. 100% recommend for a great stay.

This campsite was everything! From the views, to the adorable animals, to Susan and Greg’s amazing hospitality—everything was perfect. We had a beautiful weekend away. The hilltop campsite was a peaceful place to paint, relax, and unwind. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful spot. Bring a large tarp or footprint if tent camping as it can get pretty wet in the tall grass. Susan could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Absolutely lovely farm.

Omg. Seriously. Susan is the greatest hostess. She has a beautiful piece of land overlooking the Chippewa river that has great breezes, walking trails and views. Sue goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and happy! 5 BIG stars!
